Are you allowed to edit other peoples plugins?

    purely depends on license. most people go by that it is allowed to edit a plugin if you use it privately only and dont share it.

    Most plugins use GNU2 which means you can edit it but don't say you coded it. As long as you don't publish it as Necrodoom said you'll be fine.

    Some plugins have a license which means you cannot edit with the authors permission but you can always message the developers ask for their permission.

    If you don't know how to decompile a plugin or spell Eclipse how can you expect to be able to edit a plugin?

    Archarin i only want to change some names

    You need to save it as a .zip and import it in eclipse
