    Hello!
I just recently started hosing with PickleHosting. When i go into my FTP file, there is no Plugin folder. It just like world, properties, and all that crap. I have hosted before, and never had this problem until now. They also recommend using FileZilla, so i downloaded that and figured out how to connect to my server through that. But still theres one problem, no plugin folder. Please help if you can thanks!

Friedbiscut You should just be able to manually create the plugins folder. If not, contact PickleHosting support.

There is an option of Create file or Create Directory. I have tried them both, than when I upload the plugin into the folder, it puts the file of the plugin but not the folder where you can go in and edit stuff. I restarted the server as well and no luck.

That would have been my first guess, but since Friedbiscut said he'd hosted before, I gave him the benefit of the doubt =p

But you're right, your setup may be vanilla, hence why there is no plugins folder.
Since PickleHosting uses MultiCraft control panel, you're going to need to make sure you have craftbukkit selected like this:

Friedbiscut I've never really seen something like this, so I'm out of ideas, sorry =\
The only thing I can suggest next is to do what you've been doing, except using FileZilla to access your files, instead of Multicraft. Also, make sure your server is offline when creating/modifying things in FileZilla.

    Hello.

I have been receiving a similar error with the console, unfortunately. I have Craftbukkit 1.6.2 (Latest Build) placed inside the JAR Directory of the FTP Client next to all the Worlds and Plugins Directory. I cleared all my plugins and all the data from the Plugins file to try to start fresh (yes, everything on the server I spent the past month on is gone forever...) but it did not work. When it previously worked (before the hectic 1.6 updates), the FTP Client or something else automatically created a directory with the config.yml file inside it for almost every plugin made. It does not do that anymore for some reason. Here is the large console error, if it helps: http://pastebin.com/esyk1BB2
I am using a hosting company that is more expensive than the others to ensure better quality and I do not think it is their fault (mine probably), but I would greatly enjoy not having this error anymore :)
And I will give out a like even if you simply reply ;)
On a side note, some plugins - for instance Vault and WorldEdit, work perfectly fine. I am pretty sure it has something to do with Line 12 in the error in the console - 11.07 18:09:35 [Server] INFO Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: Jar does not contain plugin.yml. Perhaps some plugins rely on the plugin.yml file more than others?
Anyways, thank you for your help!

Symbiosis redownload jars manually from dev.bukkit.org, not from your installer. all jars have plugin.yml.

I manually download the plugins from www.dev.bukkit.org since there is no installer provided with the Hosting Company's FTP Client. I upload the plugins using the 'upload' button, choosing the downloaded file, and clicking submit. The FTP Client says the file is OK and that there are no problems. The .jar files are in the Plugins folder but not the directories which contain the config.yml file. I have also tried another hosting company as well which did not work. Anyways, thank you for the reply - I gave your comment a like ;)

If only this terrible issue could be solved...

Edit: Here is an example of installing a few plugins in the MultiCraft FTP Client - the messages recieved:

Edit (2): I found out that only .zip files create directories and work. Any ideas on this isssue?
    ~Thanks :)

Symbiosis looks like you are uploading the zips, not the jars, on which it trys to extract. try upload the jars instead.

Some .jar files work - for instance Vault - but most do not: Factions, Disguisecraft, ...

Maybe the MultiCraft FTP Client is broken?

    Edit: DisguiseCraft installing error:

    Checking files:
    • File DisguiseCraft-master.zip is OK
Transferring files to the FTP server:
    • Processing archive nr 1: DisguiseCraft-master.zip
      • Unable to extract the files and directories from the archive

Symbiosis as i said, extract the zip yourself, upload the jar.

It is what I have tried in the first place - what was not working. Uploading most .zip files work perfectly fine - with the exception of Disguisecraft and Factions (factions.zip has no recent update - only Factions.jar) - but uploading most .jar files does not work - Disguisecraft, Factions, McJobs ...

can you run these jars first on local server? if it works local then breaks remote, contact host.

when you unzip, and you get the jar, try check if its ok, by unzipping it too and looking for plugin.yml.

Just make a folder called "plugins". If that doesn't works, contact PickeHosting to solve this issue.
