yes, I seen it very recently, but you going to lose 90% people unless you have really really sweet unique feature, but if you are, it will become not unique in couple weeks.
you may not block mods. You can only make players install mod that prevents future modifications and check if that mod installed - but I bet you $100 that if someone would be interested to download your map he will do it anyways. Regardless of which protection you will put. If you want to be sure that your map won't be downloaded, simply play single player.
FaniX Kinda useless, you could send the entitre map with blockchanges but I don't think that your server will like that
