I have AT&T dial up. It's pretty fast. Faster than comcast and it's up 24/7 Played WoW on it and everything.....well....today exactly one week into owning my server with many members and great potential, my I.P. to log on to the server suddenly changed.. it changed a lot....

    How??

    Why??

is there any way I can change it back to what it was before?

    Hello,

Do you mean your ip changed or the server ip changed?

The I.P you find at whatismyip.com the I.P. that players use to log on.

Had to update because i believe I may have found out how to change it. But I need sure advice that this will work and wont eff up my internet connection.

On IP address, do I put the IP i want myplayers to log in with?

On subnet mask, do i use the one number that I get from the details of my network? like 255.255.255.0

and on default gateway, do i put the number labeled as default gateway in the details which is also what i put in the browser to config my connection?

    Hello,

Ah you ment on your local computer. This would be the local IP you had before it changed and yes the subnet is 9 times out of 10 - 255.255.255.0

Also your default gateway would be your router ip.

You could look into no-ip, it's standard program/website for having actual name servers (like website.com though I believe it's website.no-ip.com)
