"Unkown command"

Hello, im very new to all this and have been really trying to figure this out but just have not been able to. I made my toon in minecraft an op by typing in /op (playername). After doing this, of course, that toon is able to run commands in game such as /time set 2400. However, wen i type the same thing in the cmd box thats running the server, it gives me [INFO] Unkown command. Type "help" for help.
If I type help it gives me the list of all the commands but i cant do any of them. thx in advance for any help. sry for being such a noob

 

When you type commands into the command box you don't need to enter the '/'

antoher question tho. how do i change settings of plugins? like change griefprevention to firedestroy false

You have to go into your plugins folder, in there will be another folder called 'GriefPreventionData' open that up and there is a file called 'config.yml'. open this file and there will be an option which says 'FireDestroys: false'
I think default is false? But you can set it to whatever you like.
