What I want: It always bugs me whenever I see a sign in minecraft where the words are misspelled. So I figured it would be a great plugin that automatically checks the spelling as you type in a sign or book. Just like some browsers do when you type in threads like these. [IMG]
All it would change is perhaps having misspelled words underlined when written in either signs or written books (because they are permanent).
I have no coding experience so I would be unable to make this but I figured I'd spread the idea out there for someone else that does and would be willing to make this.

Ideas for commands: I don't think any commands would be necessary, maybe one to edit books and signs, but I think there is already a plugin that does that.

Ideas for permissions: (I don't know what I'm supposed to place here, lol.)

When I'd like it by: Whenever, I really just had the idea for it and I think a plugin like this would really help people appearing less like a n00b when they misspell on a sign.

This would be a tough one for everyone. This plugin needs to read an library full of words and then check if the typed word is in that list.

Supposivly MySQL or SQLite? It is possible, though. I am not really sure about signs, but the chat is absolutely doable.

This plugin does not change words on signs, however it's a good example of what I said in my previous reply about chat-correcting.

True but maybe someone can use this as a basis for adding to signs as well. Granted if you can get the approval from the dev and maybe you could get them to work on adding the feature to it.

^ This makes it hard to take the plugin/code from them...
There are people capable of doing this, but on signs.... I don't know, as I am no plugin developer, if it's possible.

EDIT: You can ask them if you may use their plugin/code as a basis. Alternatively, you can ask them for signs in future updates.

It's not exactly what you are looking for but you could use it to correct a lot of common mistakes like "teh" to "the". You'll have to write your own rules scripts though and the sign features just block the sign instead of autocorrecting (right now) but the sign feature does plan to include replacement text.
