So I've been wanting this for a long time... Finally getting someone to run my server. I was filling out my sign up sheet when I came across the "Address 1". I'm like NOOOOOO. So here is my question for the people that use RedstoneHost, do you guys get mail from them??? I really don't want spam mail from these people...

I was once with them and they never sent me any mail. I wouldn't choose them though on account of their horrible customer service. It took 3 days before they responded to a critical ticket

I would go with minecrafted.net, beastnode.com or pixel-host.com , redstonehost is terrible after what i've read about them.

    Do.
    Not.
    Buy.
    From.
    Redstonehost...

They are just terrible, their cPanel is really buggy, they won't help you out at all... When I bought for them half the time I was fixing my server instead of playing on it.

Refund your money now. (Fill in a dispute on PayPal if they don't want to, since they didn't deliver your server).

If you're still looking for a good host, go with MPServ. You could also just go to http://www.bestminecrafthosts.com/, and choose for yourself. Smaller companies always seem better. A few examples are ClanSlots and AllGamer.

NFOServers, perhaps? They host shared servers on ridiculous specs.(See below)

I would reccomend beastnode. I was with redstonehost before switching to beastnode, and the lag was very noticable with redstone host. The only advantages that redstone host has is that they give you complete control over your server, but thats about it.

Thanks guys i'm now looking at Fragnet and I heard that was pretty good... I haven't bought anything from there yet, and i was wondering if it is as fast as it seems and if they send mail (i has a mail problem xD).

If you're willing to spend the money with Fragnet, I'd recommend taking a look at AllGamer. I believe they have similar prices, and I've heard some great things about AllGamer. If you're looking for other options, I'd recommend looking into LiquidNode or BeastNode.

I've never used AllGamer as a minecraft server host but I use their VPS for hosting minecraft and I love it, I do talk to the manager quite often, and the minecraft servers are just VPS's with McMyAdmin on them
As for a cheaper alternative, I'd go with EVLGaming or Beastnode

RedstoneHost is fine, as long as you don't have issues ;)
Aka, if you know what you're doing, it's okay.

Thanks for the recommendations guys. I've heard bad things about redstonehost and that's why they were removed from the approved hosts by the minecraft forum staff (Their thread was full of support requests). However, I've never used them and cannot comment on their level of service.

As for providing an address.. That is standard practice for any business online. Most won't send you spam mail (We send our customers a holiday card every year, but that's it.) The places you have to worry about putting your address are things like domains. I literally get 4-6 letters from Domain Registry of America every month because I have quite a few domains under my name or my business' name.
