Want to enable PVP on my server but Donators have /fly any work around?

Ive run my server for 2 years nearly never had PvP really, only on special occasions but thinking about turning it on, but the main problem is that I gift my Donators the command /fly and I dont want to just remove that from them, But I want something that if they start attacking another player the /fly gets removed and they are like "flagged" for PvP....

ALSO on the same topic of this, is there anything out there that stops cheating in PvP, I know I can set delays for Essentials TP's but maybe an all round PvP management plugin, ive had a look though bukkit plugins but having no luck.

 

What plugin do you run for griefing? I know Griefprevetion can prevent commands when in pvp.

 

I have griefprevention, wasnt aware that was apart of it, I will check now

I see GriefPrevention blocks commands, but what if someone is already in /fly and starts attacking people who cant use /fly

You should consider giving your donors a different perk. Fly is op for pvp servers in general. Even if when someone is engaged in pvp fly auto-disabled someone with flight can easily fly around and drop down on unsuspecting players.

 

Hi there tomnicklin, in response to your first question, take a look at this plugin: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/noflypvp/ I personally use this plugin on my server to drop my donators out of fly when they are hit so they dont have an advantage. You could also take a look at the other features of the plugin. In response to the second part of your question take a look at this: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/combat-tag/ I use this to stop players PVP logging. It essentially tags them for a defined period of time and they cant use commands. Hope these answer your question

 

I also run a server with PvP and give my donators /fly. The above plugin will stop them from using /fly in pvp and even remove flight when they are hit by another player. A new problem came to my attention when a donator was flying and a normal user shot an arrow at them. They fell to the ground but did not die. However, they did take damage. Thus making it easier for the donator to be killed. I told them, if they fly from place to place they should fly high enough not to enguage in combat.
