    Hai People of Bukkit :)

I have spent hours on my server and it is finally finished! But.... I am having trouble uploading it to minecraftservers.org but it keeps saying the server is offline! and I have port forwarded it and I have changed the ip address to words, and the hardest thing is, I'm on a mac. Anyone have any suggestions? It will be much appreciated! :D

Try just using the normal IP not the DNS IP(domain)

Do you mean the public IP? Because I know the private ip but it might upload and people will know my real ip :S

The original IP you were given when you first got your server, you can use both the domain IP and the original IP for a server.

If you want to list a public server, your server's real IP will be public. No way around it.

EDIT: ... but for other reasons you will want to use the domain name when listing it.

People can also just lookup the domain to see where it goes to and find your domain...If you dont want people to see your IP you'll have to order hosting from a hosting company.

In regards to your original problem, you need to make sure your server is running and accessible to the outside world before they'll accept your listing. (0% uptime is apparently not acceptable for some reason... =)

What server gave it to you? It's supposed to be your server's IP.

    Here's your problem:
    Code:
    ;; ANSWER SECTION:
    mclava.no-ip.org. 60 IN A 192.168.1.105

You have given no-ip.org the wrong IP address. You need to configure it with your public IP address.
