    Hello Bukkit members,

I have been encountering problems with port forwarding on my 2Wire 2701HG-G to open port 25565 (For Minecraft), I got so frustrated with it that I put my computer in DMZplus mode (i believe thats what its called) and i set up a public domain at "xkonfuzioncraft.mooo.com" and i ran my public IP through it and set up bukkit to use my public IP, but everytime i start Bukkit, it says something along the lines of "FAILED TO BIND PORT. IS THERE A SERVER ALREADY RUNNING ON THAT PORT?". One thing ive noticed is that the IP does periodically change. If possible I would like some help with this, much precited :D

I am running Windows 7 Home Basic 64-bit

Taken from the list of common problems and solutions, try this:
EDIT: Some times this can be caused if you just hit the X to close cmd while the server is still running. You should always stop the server by typing "stop" in the console.

what does not entering the IP adress do?

By not entering an IP address in server.properties, minecraft will choose the right one (unless you have many static IPs) automatically.

Ok, i did that but sadly enough i cannot coneect my other computer to the server, and if my IP adress keeps changing do i need to set up a static myself?

On the computer running the server, go to http://www.canyouseeme.org/ and enter your minecraft port (most likely 25565). If it cannot connect, then you have not port forwarded correctly.

Check that your selected port is opened correctly with a website like canyouseeme.

Make sure you've used the correct internal IP, and disable any firewall your router/computer has.

I changed some things and now instead of it saying "connection times out" it says "connection refused"

Look up "my ip" in google and try to connect with that.
