I've created an application system for my server with PHP as we get about 100 applications every day and processing these through a forum system or even on a Minecraft Forum thread is almost impossible and becomes very tedious.

Before this application system was created, my staff had to go on the server forums, click on an unreviewed app and then read it. If it was decent they would then manually check for bans by using /checkplayer. Then, they would have to copy the minecraft username again and use the PEX command to give them building rights. Finally they had to post a reply on the forums and move the application to the appropriate forum section (accepted/denied applications).

Now, all they have to do is click one button.

    Features
    • Web form for users to submit applications. Demo at (http://minecraft-techworld.com/apply)
    • Review applications in an admin panel.
    • While reviewing applications, bans are checked against McBans, Glizer and other global ban networks and are shown when they have bans.
    • Apply and reject applications in the admin panel with one click
      • Send an email to the applicant automatically, informing them whether they were accepted or not.
    Requirements
    • Web server with PHP
    • PEX Permissions System
    • MySQL server
    Release
This is how the application will look like. Depending on the feedback I get, I will release this to the public.

This is pretty amazing. I wouldn't personally use it, but I think it would definitely be helpful to the rest of the community.

Suggestion: add the CSS class "disabled" to the unclickable buttons (status, online players, etc.)

    That will turn this:

Thx for the suggestion, but they are actual clickable buttons, bringing up more detailed information.

mcbans isn't always a trustworthy source. Global bans can be biased and not that many people are willing to go to the lengths to appeal their bans if they aren't a regular on the servers they are banned on.

Even though mcbans isn't trustworthy, it's still the largest. Applicants are still able to explain their ban in a form field, so that they can explain their situation.

Plus, it also checks bans from BcBans, McBlockIt, MCBouncer and Minebans.

I did read the post, I was just wondering if after the overwhelmingly positive response (15 votes) and the 12 days or so since the post whether this would actually be released. Even if it was onto github and unfinished I might be able to help out.

Seems like there's no release of it, if it is possible then a moderator should add an "Inactive" mark to the thread.

Why do people do this, show you something great and then just take off and not do it? Sigh, reported to be inactive.

They do it just to show off their project most likely.

The version from GitHub requires a lot of wrench-hitting in order to separate it from the remains of Mastergalen's server's website.

Knowing my luck, the official version of the service will be released the moment I finish cleaning this thing up.

Ha, the developer just forgot he has a thread to add a download link.
