Updating to JRE 7

I'm struggling to update to JRE 7. When I try to use the command it says something about doing the command manually. Does anyone know how to update ubuntu to JRE 7? Any help will be appreciated.

For two, what architecture (x86, x64)?

Also you need JDK not JDR.

java runtime is not going to work, if you want to run craftbukkit, You need JDK for that
