So I used to have McMMO and CoreProtect.... key word, used...

20 players joined at once, we got MASSIVE lag, due to each block being stored in a flat file along with McMMO flat file storage... Not a good combo. I deleted both plugins from my server existence. Good riddance to McMMO.

However, id still like to have CoreProtect for rollbacks. Due to the fact that it saves -every- block placed, quickly adding up to thousands in a day all in a flatfile, well, database is obviously the way to go.

I use BeastNode + Multicraft. It gives you an option to 'create a database' with no specific editing info. it just creates it and gives you the necessary values to connect it in your config.

I type these into my config, for CoreProtect, restart server, and core protect no longer works. I had the same problem with mcmmo. Its as If when you enable mysql connections, it just kills the plugin. as in no commands work, but the plugin is still 'active'

Has anyone experienced this, and if so, can you give me a solution? Im a professional graphic designer / web developer, but only front-end. When you get into databases, my knowledge seems to stop....so, please, treat me like a noob when it comes to database help ^_^
