Ok, do all of these steps and it should work.

    1) Clear ANY port forwarding you have already done to make sure we are starting fresh
    - After clearing the settings, reboot your router/modem

    2) Open command prompt and type "ipconfig" without the quotes

    3) Find the line that says "IPv4 Address...............: 192.168.xxx.xxx
    - the x areas only may be 1 digit like 192.168.0.0 OR they can be up to 3 digits

    4) Put that IP address into the config of your bukkit server

    5) Go to http://portforward.com/ and properly port forward your router/modem on the port 25565. for the port forward IP you need to put the server computer's internal IP which we found above.
    - NOTE: I have had trouble doing this when using the modem>router>PC setup. I had to directly connect my PC to the modem. This isnt the case for all people though

    6) After doing this, go back to http://portforward.com/ and copy the IP address in the top right corner. This is
the IP your friends will connect to.

To me, port forwarding was hard and complicated, until i thought of it like this:

Your friends will try to connect to your external IP. When your router/modem receives this, it will automatically send the request through port 25565. It can only do this if you tell it to by port forwarding. Then when the router find this port, it sends it to the IP address listed in the settings for this port. That is your server computer. Simple as that!

If you have any more trouble post here and I will try my best to help!

Step 5 was the most explained...
Get into your modem gateway. (You can get the gateway if you type "ipconfig" in CMD, take the Default Gateway it lists,, and post it in a browser.)
Get to whatever says Port Forwarding. Forward port 25565 to your internal IP. Run server, and others can genrally join. (Assuming your firewall already has an added exception.)
