puyttre if you didn't inform them of your desire to cancel, how exactly did you cancel the 80 slot plan? This sounds like you "cancelled" it by stopping paying them, not notifying.

 

I can validate the OP's story, same thing happened to me awhile back when I tried redstone host. They sold me a server with no ram and it was very hard to unsubscribe and get a refund, they billed me the next month even though I cancelled the service awhile before, I had to dispute on paypal resolution center.

 

I had tried them for a month, they are oversold and understaffed. No more, no less. Pretty bad support, my VPS crashed and the couldn't figure out how to restore it; and the server was in Paris. I now run off a VPS from AllGamer, just a VPS, not a minecraft package; about $40 for 2GB RAM, and the server is in Texas. Since I am in Northern California/Southern Oregon, Texas is preferable to Paris.

If you want a managed minecraft server, I had reasonably good luck with MPServ, I just needed more control...
