Before 1.3 stuff came out I was able to click on my run.bat and the server would run and when I was done for the day was able to press the close button and it was done, saved and everything. But ever since 1.3 came out it won't save. I have tried everything I have deleted all plugins to see if it is a plugin causing it and its not. I have reset the server.properties (probably doesnt do anything anyway). The only way it will save now is if I type in manually stop and chances are is that I will forget to do that everytime. Please help!

Then you shouldn't be running a server.

It's just a matter of habituation. You could move the server window's edge with the close button off the screen as a mnemonic.

or use a GUI which issues a stop when you click the X, if you cant disable your habit settings.

but what if my pc crashes and it kills the window.... why doesnt the save command actually save it anymore!!!!!!!!!!! its soooo annoying anyone know how to make it actually save without typing the command?

it saves when you use the command...however if you do not /stop your server it will not save any changes from the last save until the time you close it. Stopping the server ensures that your world is saved correctly AND prevents any chunk failure due to not shutting down correctly. Do you press your power button on your pc and hold it for 4 to 5 seconds or do you shut it down? If you wouldn't do that, then maybe you should use the /stop command.

You might have had a plugin that saved the server for you. you can do /save-all I think that works. But what everyone else is saying is right just type stop. You will get use to it eventually.

mboy289 If your PC crashes, nothing will be saved in either case.

    Code:
    /save-all
    /stop
    Every time.
