Cant connect to server

    I started my bukkit gui server and everything seemed normal and it is port forwarded but when i try to go on my server it acts as if it doesnt exist this is what i saw can someone please help.

    Google canyouseeme.com and check if your 25565 port is open, this will confirm you portforwarding is good.

    Then search my ip address. This is the ip you'll use to connect to the server. Put this ip in the minecraft multiplayer and it doesnt matter if you add the :25565 to the end or not

    It said i could not see my service reason connection timed out

    The servers have been up and down.. Connecting to your own server is the problem with minecraft.net because of 1.3 they are getting ready for it fixing the site up.. So the servers have been up and down lately.

    Thats not the problem at all.

    This confirms that you have not port forwarded correctly, confirm everything is right.

    I realize that the error you acknowledged is out there, but that a whole new problem in itself.

    I port forwarded again and re checked on canyouseeme.com and it still could not find my service im almost positive i port forwarded correctly

    I checked it on yougetsignal.com and it said port 25565 is closed how do i "open" it
