HEROCHAT help

Hey guys, i'm using Herochat and i'm having a slight problem.

The channel name etc doesn't show up when a user talks, it acts like I have no chat plugin installed, but I do. Since I can switch channels.

I use PermissionsEX if that makes a difference, if anyone can give me a example channel config or help me out, that would be great.

A few others issues that aren't as important is people being able to join more than one channel.
For example, I have four channels
Whisper
Local
Yell
Global

I wan't users who are using whisper, be able to hear, people using local, if they are close enough. And people using local, able to hear people using yell/whisper if they are close enough.

The last issue is if someone is not in the default channel, and they attempt to speak it says "You must join the channel before you can speak"

Still looking for help, if anyone needs more info on the problem, just tell me what you want to know.

lol i have the same problem but with townychat and essentials chat and group manager too

did u disable chat manger which come with PEX

 

No. I just checked, can't find any option to disable it, it doesn't show up in /plugins though.

 

do u have it in ur plugins folder? file name :"chatmanger.jar"

 

No, I do not, we deleted that when we were trying to get Herochat to work.

Thanks for the help, I just re-downloaded it and it fixed it.

But now I have the problem of...

Whenever a user is not in the default channel, and trys to join another it says "You must join the channel before you can speak"

I wan't users to only be able to display one chat name, right now it is always global, not Shout, or whisper, etc. I guess it is a step forward though!

 

i had that problem before ill look more into it for it because i forgot how i fixed it lol

 

If you don't mind me asking, do you have skype? It'll be much easier to fix this issue if we can chat in some form of "real time"
