Iconomy balances getting randomly purged???

I really need help! everyones iconomy balances on my server randomly get set to the default.i am using a flatfile not a mysql. would this be a reason? all help is appreciated!

If you read the configuration files for iConomy, it specifically says that using a flatfile may end in a periodic wipe of all data. This is a risk you take, and if you don't want this, switch to mysql.
I use a flatfile myself, but i have a plugin backup system that keeps everything fresh if it clears out the data. Ty using a plugin such as Backup,and try tweaking some of the iConomy settings to see if there's anything you can do to rectifiy the issue. Also, a good place to have started at would have been the Iconomy plugin page.

 

Ok i would rather use a mysql but i dont know what to put in the config to use it. ive tryed it before but it wouldent connect?
