[Request] Disable enchanting

Discussion in 'Archived: Plugin Requests' started by JoeGandy1, Jun 2, 2012.

  1. Plugin category: Fixes, Misc, Mechanic-altering

    Suggested name: NoEnchant

A bit about me: My name is Joe, I run a server called "Stentor", see www.stentor.co, I need this plugin as I intend to make enchanted weapons rewards, for events, quest. So these enchants would be implemented into the game in my own way, making them "Rare". I have made my own plugins for allowing user to select to McMMO skills and letting donators change "race" once... But that's all basic config storage and commands, I'm not sure where I would've started with this, so I thought I'd request it!

What I want: I want to see plugin that simply disables enchanting, the way it does this doesn't matter but i guess not allowing the user to place anything into the enchanting square is the most obvious way of doing this.

Ideas for commands: No commands needed for this plugin.

    Ideas for permissions:
    • NoEnchant.allow <-- People with this could use the enchantment table regradless.

When I'd like it by: I'm in no amazing rush, but with a simple plugin like this, it can't take longer than a few days?

    Similar plugin requests: None.

If you use PEX you could use this permission node with a 2nd "-" in front of it.

    modifyworld.items.enchant.* (Player can/can't enchant)

  3. Oh that's great, thanks alot

You would also need modify world :p which comes with per but you need to enable it in the config

  5. Hold on, so i add to the user:
    -modifyworld.*
    - -modifyworld.items.enchant.*
    ??

Yes and the people who you want to be able to use it get just -modify.items.enchant.* unless you give them * like an owner or something cause they get everything

  7. Okay I've done this, but when a normal player moves they keep getting pulled back?

What you did was stop enchanting that shouldn't effect anything else but enchanting
