HELP!

Ive been trying to make a server for several hours and don't know what I'm doing wrong... HELP!

 

Are you on a Macintosh then? What errors are you getting?

 

I have no idea when i get to the shell/ terminal part it never seems to work

 

You're not saving the file as .command

That's because you've saved it using a Rich Text Editor that has messed up the file's encoding.

You should use software like TextMate or put TextEdit into 'PLAIN TEXT' mode by going to the application's preferences and selecting the appropriate option.

Please note that after modifying the 'New Document' settings in TextEdit, you MUST close the file you are currently working on by clicking the red X in the textedit window - then press COMMAND + N to create a new file.
