[SOLVED] was using javaw.exe instead of java.exe interesting that the server still worked... Hi, I've just created a new server using the latest recommended Build, followed the wiki method to the t, (even copied the code directly to a bat file), but the console that appears remains blank. Running on Win7 64bit, 64 bit java (but tried with 32 also). I know the server is running, because: In task manager javaw.exe appears, I CAN connect to the server, but can't op myself without having console, When i manually close javaw.exe the server.log updates with all the connects/disconnects I try. I'm sure i'm just missing something obvious, thanks (I tried searching the forum got no results) bump EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
The only thing I can think of is whatever you have your craftbukkit named to make sure it's the same as in the .bat file. Like if your craftbukkit recommended build is called "craftbukkit" in the .bat make sure it's set as "craftbukkit" so that it can find it?... Thats my only solution I can give.
java.exe and javaw.exe are the same with the exception that java.exe has a text console. javaw.exe is for GUI programs where you don't want a text console.
