    Such as?
Do you really need documentation beyond what is in the post?

Your right... anyone that spends 2 hours digging through forums trying to figure out what wrong with someone elses plugin, probably is. But this is really a quality issue. Good thing Bukkit is free because I probably spend almost $100 in my time per plugin trying to fill in the gaps when something doesn't go right. Even free, it costs a lot. lol

Here is one of the problems: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/ad...enix-now-with-more-antibuild-493.5974/page-34

ksevelyar and I are having the same problem. Then there are several others. And as for the documentation, with so many people having problems (you'd see if you go through the link for Permissions) current documentation is clearly missing.

Has it ever occurred to you that some people are too lazy to read previous posts that have the answer to their questions? The OP doesn't need better documentation. The people on here need to give more effort in looking for an answer, instead of expecting others to solve problems for them.

Yes, lets toss professional programming best practices out the window for digging through posts. and then digging through other sites(cuz the answer for me wasn't on here in this case), and then digging through alternate phrases on how it MIGHT be worded as other people have viewed it.

I mean really now. Besides, what do you care to inject yourself in this?

Lets remove a plugin that probably 95% of bukkit admins used (before groupmanager, that is. -- hey, you could try that one, but I suspect you'll have just as much trouble getting that one working.) because I can't figure it out.

Are you serious? I can't even tell if this post is a joke or not.

Look, I'll be honest and partially agree - some of the plugins can be rather difficult to set up for someone new to administrating a server. But 1- It's up to you how much effort you want to put in configuring your server. 2- This isn't even the right place to request better plugin documentation. 3- Complaining and asking to have a plugin that the majority of people use to be removed entirely is definitely not the correct way to go about it.

If you need help with something, ask for it. The Bukkit community is usually very willing to assist.

A word of advice however: when asking help it usually a bad idea to start randomly insulting everyone in sight and making preposterous demands (it tends to make people less willing to help you).

I kind of agree with the OP. I just got bukkit today, granted, but I've pretty much downloaded and installed every plugin I could get my greedy little hands on.

Unfortunately, Permissions was the first one I ... tried. It gave me errors about the Permissions.yml, and for the life of me I couldn't find anything even mildly useful anywhere about how to configure that file once I created it. So I just removed it, and decided I didn't want it.

So maybe not delete the post, but they better gd update it with some actual information.

Requesting its removal got us talking about it and admitting theres a problem with documentation didn't it? I think this served its point. Look, now I'll be honest. I'm not new to administrating servers. I run over 16 servers(windows granted but still they count) and when I got to this game I knew there would be some problems.

The creator has made over $20 million dollars and has done little to help the plugin community(thank god for bukkit team). Installing plugins can be tough, running Half-Life and Gmod plugins can have their difficulties, but NOTHING like the plug-in community here. Some plugins are well documented... I have had no problems with sk89's plugins thanks to his dedication to keeping and updating a clear wiki. When people have problems, he finds out what they are and updates it.

Firstly... point to where I'm insulting everyone in sight? So far in this thread I I've been called an idiot, lazy, laughed at, and called someone whos threads are questionably 'a joke' with out any provocation from me. And now we can add falsely accused as an 'insulter' to that list. :/ So as you can see, theres a lot of people attacking me here when all I have done is asked for better documentation and to not waste peoples time.

Secondly, I Have asked for help if you have checked: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/ad...ow-with-real-multiworld-permissions-493.5974/
    Starting on page 33.

In fact, not only has the community be unable to answer, the person that took charge of this plugin(TheYeti) hasnt responded in over 3 pages.

Zip your server folder. Post it somewhere. Somebody will probably have it fixed for you within an hour at most.
