    Well this is pretty wired.. No one can connect to my bukkit server, unless I start the server and while the server console is loading.. I log in to the server and people can go on it, but as soon as i log out the server is up, players are still on, but you cant reach from the ip adress, you can only reach through local host, so as soon as a player log out, they cant reconnect.. im probably making no sense but ill try add a video and that may explain it more. I am running a Windows7 64bit. Please help.. :L

    These are the server properties;

    allow-nether=true
    level-name=world
    enable-query=false
    allow-flight=true
    server-port=25565
    level-type=DEFAULT
    enable-rcon=false
    level-seed=
    server-ip=
    max-build-height=256
    spawn-npcs=true
    white-list=false
    spawn-animals=true
    online-mode=offline
    pvp=true
    difficulty=2
    gamemode=0
    max-players=16
    spawn-monsters=true
    generate-structures=true
    view-distance=10
    motd=Check out new spawn!
    verify-name=false

    I made an unlisted video on youtube showing what happens.. here is the link.. i hope this explains in more detail of what im trying to explain! I shouldnt be giving my ip out but eh, i really need help :c (btw i was using cracked mc then, but i bought mc a couple of weeks ago now)

    Did you forward your port?

    you should use hamachi (at first).
    It's the easiest introduce to a private server.
    If you want continue you plan to have a "normally" non-hamachi server you should check whether the port is open.http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/
    If you port isn't opend you'll need to open it.
    To see the router settings type to the windows search field "ipconfig" and then look to Default Gateway.
    There should be something like that: 192.168.xx.xx
    You have to remember it (or copy&paste).
    Open your browser and type in the default url bar http://192.168.xx.xx (the number you see behind Default Gateway.
    There are the router settings.
    The standard router password is on the back of the router.
    You write it down or remember it and open your router settings.
    Then look to port forwarding or something like that.
    The best way is to search a tutorial for that.
    Look to google. Search something like this: "port forwarding tutorial"or something like that.

    I hope it will help you and you give me a like. :D

    Did you checked on the website whether your port is really open?

    It only opens when I log in to the server (ip, not localhost) while the server console is loading.

    When I just run the .bat file and do nothing the port doesn't open, but if I login while the .bat is running it opens, but as soon as I log out the port is closed, if there were players on, they would still be on the server, but if the log out and try to log in they can't :/ I hope that makes sense

    Yes, that it perfectly normal, it is your router/modem giving your PC an IP after the "lease" has ended. To fix this, you need to make it static.

    Best way is to do it within the modem, but the easier way is to do it in Windows.

    This video shows both ways(Which is better again)

    wait, so will this fix my server problem? Or just the IPv4 Adress ?

    Short term: IP
    Long term: server (as it always knows where it is)

    There are a few things that come to mind that may be stopping it...

    1) You have a 3rd party firewall/AntiVirus(BitDefener, AVG, Kaspersky)
    2) You didn't port forward both UDP and TCP in the firewall
    3) The modem still think the server is located on the old IP, or a different one.

    I do have AVG & i did port forward both UDP & TCP in the firewall.

    Try disabling AVG for 10 min and test the server connection.

    Possibly because the 10 min timer finished.

    Try again, and if it works for good, you have 2 options;

    1) Use these steps to open the ports
    http://www.avg.com/us-en/faq.num-4334

    2) Remove AVG all together(if you can't change the firewall) as it will stop everything again.

    ohh ok, i've noticed that when the server console says 'Connection reset' no one can reach the server through my external ip, but i can through the localhost

    it does that thing where the server is only up through my ip if i log in the the server while the .bat is running, but as soon as i log off the server the server its still up (localhost) players are still on and everything is ok, but the server isnt up through the ip just the localhsot. As soon as someone logs out, they cant reconnect. Im really confused, ive got some anti-virus thing, should i name them? maybe thats the problem? :(

    this is what it looks like when i log off
    GSADSDG.png

    and this is what it looks like when im on the server (i opened another minecraft to take this screen shot)
