Player/Block Listener Tutorials?

Heyo,
Now i was wondering if you guys could help me out with Player and Block Listeners - Tutorial wise,
I would like to become an advanced bukkit plugin developer and want to learn these things

I have tried looking for a decent tutorial on these things, but came up empty handed

So could you link me to a good tutorial for Block and Player listeners?

Learning Plugin Idea:
My idea for a basic Block Listener learning plugin is that when a player places a block a message is displayed saying <player> has placed a <block> block etc.

 

I would suggest looking up GTOTechnology on Youtube. He has helped me tremendously.

 

I believe i have heard about him before... Anyway i will look him up
