Best way to grief-protect a survival-server?

Hey guys,
so, I'm starting a survival-server soon and I was thinking, what would be the best way, to grief-protect everything. My first thouhgt was OwnBlocksPlus + every vip is allowed to let me make him a worldguard-region and give him the member-add-own permission.. But I was wondering, whteter there would be another, maybe more efficient way to grief-protect everything..
So, how do you du it or prefere to do it?

factions can self-protect everything and let people create their own space that is protected where they can survive

 

I use regions in world guard, but we also have factions if they want to claim their own land. World gaurd regions is the most precise way. Unless you go get a plot plugin with a grid.
