Yeah this is what 1.2.3 bukkit did to my server and now that MCEdit is busted i guess i will need to use other stuff to fix it. No biggie tho its better than it all missing.

But does anyone know how to fix this?

The issue in the first screenshot is caused by a older version of Spout being used when you started the server for the first time on a incompatible build or possibly even still being used on a incompatible build - update Spout to the newest version.

The second issue is well... I don't know. I get bugs like that quite often too but not as severe. 1.2 is looking like a fairly buggy update so far!

If you are having issues with lighting simply cause a block update in the area. This can usually be done by interacting with a block (left/right click) or placing a torch/block in the nearby area (you can remove it almost instantly).

Hmm... strange. Always fixes my lighting bugs.

Also, that video is for vanilla lighting glitches causing light to be put into a room whereas the problem OP has is that their rooms are dark when they should be bright.

It won't fix the chunks that were already affected, it'll just stop it from happening to anything else.

Yeah it did that to my server awhile ago, I reverted to a backup from the day before. I stopped using spout since then but apparently it won't happen anymore because Spout will disable itself if your craftbukkit is newer then what it supports.

I got a backup of my world, the issue is i started building onto the current map. I think i can just port changes using World Edit but MCEdit made it so much easier.

    Well thanks, silly spout team.
