    Well it wasn't low-spec just had allot of other things running ( different game servers for other games) so Minecraft got the bad end of the ram

    Chunks aren't loading/unloading properly This happened to me when I was running on a low-spec server (because it simply couldn't load the chunks)...

    I can help you with all the automatic refreshing and I could add a option in the control panel to change the rate of updates or turn it off.

    yeah works fine with half blocks because they are rendered in a different way than stairs :p aka.. they don't push the arrow out like the stairs do :P
