Everybody who has worked on Bukkit has rights to MC code. Thats what th GPL does. And Mojang allowed this for over 2 years so that is 2 years...
As others have pointed out the GPL code in question is owned by multiple people, not just the 4 people who got sacks of money for helping steal it...
Just wanted to mention that Mojang does not own Bukkit, because they did not buy out everybody who worked on it, just a core team of 4 people....
