Sorry for the random question collasping onto your profile but what do you think of thenewboston as a resource for new programmners?
YouTube tutorials simply don't have that kind of check and balance in place, resulting in a very substandard education. Do yourself a favor, and rent a Java for Beginners book from your local county library.
I actually already learned from the dude for 7 months and just wanted to get your opinion, so I guess it's "too late" to get a book. Of course, I alawys go over any oracle tutorials for things he's a bit shallow on. The only thing really bothersome is that he must explain each and every line over and over, it gets repetive and annyoing and makes you forget the purpose of the tutorial, which is an upside of the book.
I also have a library of notes I created for myself, I made the mistake of creating a class learning about whatever and erase it afterwards, which didn't help.
