AboutI'm Cory, I'm a Web Developer who codes PHP, HTML, AJAX and CSS. I'm well advanced in Linux, Unix and Windows Environments.
I was never a gamer, but after two friends of mine showed me this game called "Minecraft" - I setup a server on my server and we played on it for few weeks; Until my friends disappeared and I was stuck playing by myself bored out of my mind. After finding a minecraft username to my liking, I paid for this account as I was addicted too Minecraft and I was in search for servers too play on.
When playing by my self, I've always spawned stuff as my friends never did teach me on "How to craft", therefore after finding a website to do so; I was self-taught in doing so and learning new things and approached by finding YouTube Series such as "Yogscast", "DaveChaos", "Bashurverse" and "Minecraft Mondays".
Bashcraft (Bashurverse) was actually the first server I joined, but I didn't stay on it long as I was new joining servers as I didn't know how they operated, soon I found a nice community on DaveChaos and applied for Build Rights and was on that until 1.8.1 as they did a map reset at that time Minecraft Mondays announced they were opening a server and they were accepting "New Mods".
Now at this time, I didn't know anything about modderting servers, but takes one server to be given a chance to get that experience and I was given a chance once I applied and I caught after a few weeks of being accepted as a Mod.
A week before Minecon, I was promoted to Assistant Admin of the server again as my new role I didn't know what I was doing and after a few weeks, I got into my role and as it turns out I'm good at it as I am with many things when I'm a Server Administrator by trade.
Recently, The 'Head Admin' Hackett, which I still consider an 'Admin' stepped down as he recieved a promotion at work and since I was doing a really good job, I was promoted to Head Admin of Minecraft Mondays and since then I'm became well experience with Moddering, Bukkit Plugins and meeting new people in Minecraft.
In conclusion, I've only been playing Minecraft sine about June of 2011; Started on 1.7.3 version of Minecraft and in less then a year I've learned a lot.
I'm in the Web Hosting field by offing Web Hosting, Reseller and Media Services (Internet Radio) as well as a Server Administrator for various Operating Systems and this is why I probably was given a chance to become a Mod and succeed in what I've acomplised already.
Latley, I've began a side-project developing stuff related to Minecraft under the recently bought domain name I own called http://JustOneMoreBlock.com as well as .org (two for one deal!) - Now I'm suprised as you are when this domain was available, but most people would think the "Domain name is too long" well in short, it is...but when buying a domain name you don't want any characters, alternatives like "One" becoming "1" to just make it shorter, but it makes it harder for people to tell you where to go. Thus being a "Minecraft Slogan" is rememberable which is the number thing you need to understand when buying a domain name and since it's a slogan people use all the time, people wouldn't mind typing it as a dot com domain as it's easy to remember and therefore makes a good quality domain name and hence I purchased it.
As of now I've setup a "PHP Skin Viewer" a Modified source...Which can be using by doing;
Working on a Redstone Calculator (How many repeaters do you need for a long clock?) - I think I have the forumla down properly.
I did have help from the help of the XenForo Team; but I got it working.
Created a XenForo Minecraft Avatar Viewer using my modified "PHP Skin Viewer". (Partially implemented)
Created a XenForo MCBans Lookup using a "Pre-Made MCBans PHP API Script".
Working on a XenForo Minequery Status Block
Created my own PHP Based Votifier Script (Possibly going to create a directory)
I have lots of ideas! Got any? I could improve or develop?
