Yep - browsers don't recognize commas as separators - I'll spin an update for that!

Could someone tell me how to install this mod? I just can't get it work. Should I place the Dynmap-Factions directory in my plugins directory?

I've tried to install it about 10 times now but without any luck.. :(

Just unzip the zip into the plugins directory. Make sure you have a supported level of Factions and a supported level of Dynmap already installed and functional.

Hmm.. I used the web uploader form my host and now it worked. Nevertheless, thanks for the reaction!

    Great plugin :)

    Hello!
First of all, i love your plugins!
Secondly, Im using dynmap to see world guard regions but my regions are in safezones so when i click on a region from the map i only see info on the safezone, not the region.
I was wondering if there was anyway to disable being able to see safezones so that i can once again click on and see info on my regions.
    Thanks!

Lemme give that a look - there are some issues with 'stacking' of zones that make the clicked information kinds of screwy (the bigger zone winds up 'in front of' the smaller one for click processing).

  8. Perhaps time to put in some ingame code for the regions-plugins?
For dynmap worldguard you could have something like:

    /dynmap wg <zone> <nr>

Where <zone> is the name of the region and where <nr> is the number of ehm. Damn english. The number for what layer the region should have where layer 2 is over layer 1 etc.. You undestand my thoughts, right? :)

can someone please tell how I install this thing? I really can't figure it out and there are no tutorials xD
there is no .jar, so I put it in the plugins folder right?
but when I do, the dynmap is no different....
Can someone please help me out?

Just unzip it in the plugins folder - same procedure as dynmap.

What versions of Factions, Dynmap, and Dynmap-Factions are you using? What server.log messages do you get from them during startup.

where is v0.25? is this even for 1.2?

Old post = old data. If you look at OP, we need at least 0.32 with the current code - for 1.2, dynmap should be 0.34 (independent of this mod).

  15. Is there a possibility to add a way so that the markings of factions are in different colours/faction?

I know I can do this by hand, but I'd really like if it chose colours by itself. It could either do it randomly with all colours there is or (better) it could use an external file like colors.txt that we could put in the rgb/hex colours in ourself and it choose from them.

A txt-file that only had the colors listed like:

    255.200.200
    0.0.100
    255.0.111
    etc...

I'm asking because it would be nice to actually be able to spot different factions on the map by colour at first. :)

The 'custstyle' stuff should work for tailoring the colors by specific factions - see
    https://github.com/webbukkit/Dynmap-Factions/wiki for the details.

  17. But custstyle has to be written manually, right? If some players start a faction named 'Seniors' for instance, then I have to write that factions name with the custom color I want, right?

I'd more like that every new factions get a color picked that hasn't been used and that it is done instantly without me having to do anything.

    Mike,

Firstly everything about this map is Win, even despite what I am asking you about so don't think I am complaining one bit lol.

Using dynmap with factions. If I turn on Factions' autoclaim feature and walk in a circle, dynmap fills the circle which would seem to indicate that Factions has also "filled" the cirle with claimed land. This isn't the case though, as confirmed in the Factions area; autoclaim only claims what you walk on. Thus, only the border of what I walked around and not everything in it once I walk full circle.

Could you get dynmap factions to stop filling things in?

Again, thanks very much for all your work on the dynmap core and all the plugins, truly makes MineCraft that much more enjoyable!

The trick is I've got a library limitation - areas are filled borders that are a single polyline, so there is no concept of subtracting a 'hole' from the middle of a filled outline. I need to see if I can come up with a way to do it - it'd probably involve drawing the outline and the filled areas separately, but I should be able to manage something.

Current (0.16) with current Dynmap (0.35) and Factions (1.6.7) seems to be working fine

That says that Factions isn't loaded - dependency processing was hosed for a bit in some recent CB builds, so I'd be sure that that isn't the issue (assuming you DO have a stock Factions.jar plugged in that is internally named 'Factions').
