    Well, most server admins hope this plugin will not change anything for regular players, but in fact if you want to prevent texture pack x-ray, you have to hides ALL ore, even exposed ones, which might changes gameplay for regular players. This is why it's not a default setting.

    It has been some months since i last tested this plugin. i was for a long time a great fan of the other one...... recent lack of updates made me curious to test this again and to see whats what.

    All i can say is its total diff experience the plugin works flawlessly and the performance is excellent I take back all my previous statements about this plugin

    lishid i was wrong.

    ps. would it worth making chunk scramble off ? since i hide my seed with another plugin its not required.

    also would it be worth integrating hide seed? so rather then messing with how chunks are generated players just get a fake seed instead. http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/noseed/

    That way if people dont want to use this plugin in future there is no issue with funny maps if you know what i mean.

    Glad to see another happy server admin.

    Btw, about noSeed, see limitations on the bottom of the bukkitdev page:
    Important caveat: Biome colors and weather may be unexpectedly changed.

    Yes, you can turn off chunkScrambler (in the config), but I would leave that on since it does not change the look of the map at all, and does not screw up biomes, etc.

    ChunkScrambler was first supposed to be exactly what noSeed is, but then much talk with EvenPrime and a few others made me realise that it will screw up on the coloration of biomes, rivers, etc. Then I dug to the bottom of the chunk generation algorithm to make ChunkScrambler, which basically use a different seed when ores and other materials are being generated.

    we have it...kinda working, for some reason it is showing all one ore instead of vastly random and so when ore is loaded due to lighting i can pick out that ore among the all one type, any idea how to make it a rainbow again? i have nolagg the newest one and if i increase the ofc threads is temp fixes it but then it goes right back to one solid color later it kinda starts out all random then fades into one type of ore

    1.3.4 might fix your problem, if that's not what you're using. If not, try it without NoLagg's ChunkSending enabled.

    Hey, the orebfuscator doesnt seem to work. My xray plugin still allows me to see all the ores in my server. Any ideas on why that is? I'm using 1.1 r3 and the newest version on default settings. NoLagg's chunk sending is disabled.

    For a while I had used a version i thin it was 0.9.8..There was more setttings and I had set the engine mode and the worlds.

    EDIT: thx 1.3.5 fix this problem :)

    what is ScrambleSeed ?

    Oh yeah, I screwed up something in the configuration, just fixed it in 1.3.5
    That is something you should not change. It's part of the integrated ChunkScrambler, which change the locations of ores when being generated.

    So just to clarify this doesn't work against x-ray texture packs?

    If that is the case maybe you should add it to the first post of this topic as I wasted about half an hour trying to figure out why it didn't work until I read the last few posts of this thread.

    and will this take affect for other blocks? Maybe trees, mountains or the sea?

    Yes, but it's not noticeable unless you generate the world with and without and compare.

    Turn InitialRadius to 0 and you just killed x-ray texture pack. You won't see any ore unless you hit them though.

    Yeah this should be standard as most people can easily download an xray texture pack. Good job with your latest release. It's working well.

    It's not set as default since it might affect the gameplay of normal players.

    I'm sorry I know this question has been answered before, but I can't find the answer on the thread :(

    People are seeing "ghost" ores when they destroy blocks fast. Which config parameter should I change to fix this?

    I disabled the NoObfuscation for OPs and permission. And also, the mod x-ray is working.

    Did you logout/login to re-send the chunks? Did you try deop yourself and remove any permissions?
