I won't port LogBlock myself to mcAPI. Source code is available, so it shouldn't be to difficult for someone else to do it, also I'm still here. so I can answer questions. If there is more than one willing, that's up to you to handle that.

The reasons I take this step, are the usual: I quit playing Minecraft about 5 months ago and lastly I was struggling to keep up with updates. The developement of Guardian made slow progress, so I fear it won't be ready to fully replace LB in time.

    Description:

LogBlock logs block changes into a MySQL database. Block changes can be placed or destroyed block, explosions, burned blocks, sign text changes, chest access, leaves decay etc.
It can be used as griefer identification tool, to find out who build a particular building, or even roll back changes by certain players. Other purposes can be e.g: Undoing of forest fires
All additional features are optional, to keep the database as short as possible. All database actions run in their own threads to avoid server lags.
The use of permissions plugin (or any clone) is possible, but not necessary.
Uses Spout for chest logging (but it's fully optional, and there is no need for the client mod at all).

    Features:
    • Logging for block placing, block braking, fire, explosions, leaves decay, signtexts, lava flow and chest content
    • Very mighty commands system, not only allowing to rollback and redo, but also to tp to blockchanges, delete log ingame etc. Full list of commands.
    • Many parameters for lookup/rollback/redo/tp/clearlog commands: Block changes of one ore more player, in a specific area, in a world edit selection, specific block types only, block changes older or newer that a specific date, destroyed/created block only, in a different world and combinations of all these parameters. Full list of parameters.
    • Rebuilding map after importing a backup (/lb redo)
    • Last parameter to use the parameters of the last command
    • Quick ingame lookup of block history a wood pickaxe or a bedrock block.
    • All commands accessible from console (exept tools :D)
    • Custom queries for tools.
    • Different tool modes (lookup, rollback, redo, writelogfile and clearlog)
    • Saves block data like wool color, log type, torch adjustment, etc
    • Multiworld and multiserver support (some servers sharing the same database)
    • BigBrother log import
    • Loggable super pickaxe plugin (not to confuse with WorldEdit's super pickaxe)
    • API
    • Webstats
    Why to use LogBlock:

Example commands: (thanks to tha d0ctor, read more about commands here)

/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours
/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h area 15 – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours within a radius of 15 blocks

    /lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1h - rolls back thad0ctor 1 hour
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1d area 5 – rolls back thad0ctor actions for the last day within 5 blocks
/lb rollback area 10 since 1h30m - rolls back all modifications within 10 blocks since the list 1 hours and 30 mins
/lb rollback area 10 before 06.11.2011 - roll back all changes in an area of 1o before June 11th, 2011
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 05:36:00 - roll back all changes of thad0ctor since 05:36 (server time)

    How to post error messages:

I won't aswer questions to general MySQL setup/installation/what is MySQL (there are lots of good tutorials out there, use google)
Please read the installation guide before asking a question about installation problems.
Please read the FAQ before posting a error report. It may be solved there.
In case of rollback or lookup problems: Type /lb savequeue and try again (when it's fixed then, it was a consumer problem, see FAQ)
When you post error messages, it's important to paste the whole stack trace!

Odd enough, as soon as the problem started, it's gone. I didn't change anything that I know of.

    Figured i'd tell you

But I am getting this error occasionally, but only when 1 or 2 people are on my server.

While it says severe, nothing bad has happened, and it only happens when there's a few people on my server. I'm assuming its causes by logblock and my remote SQL server not communicating due to inactivity?

again, it isn't affecting anything that I know of.

Thanks I updated to 1.5 but people can still access logblock commands without the permission D:
Some permissions plugins inherit the superpermissions, change defaultPermission from true to op for both tools.

Thank for your reply but now it doesnt seem to be logging anything + I want it to be able to be used by some non-ops via permissions

Is it enough to drop the jar in the plugins folder or do I have to do more ?

Then give them the tool permissions:
    logblock.tools.tool
    logblock.tools.toolblock
    logblock.spawnTools

    check/relete world config file
Yes, autoupdater will do the rest.

Thanks! What will disabling logging.playerInfo do? Thanks.

Also is there a way I can filter the results of a /lb search? Like to search for everything EXCEPT waterflow?

Is there a way to search for both player "discoverdan" and "fire" to say, find the person who started a fire easily?

I also can't seem to access the permission nodes page on the wiki."You do not have permission to update this wiki."

Grrr.. stupid forum, every time I hit "Search this thread" it searches the entire forum instead so sorry if this was already covered.

After my box BSOD'd, I rebooted and restored my map from backup. Running MC, I see my log filling with:

2012-01-21 14:30:02 [SEVERE] [LogBlock Consumer] SQL exception on INSERT INTO `lb-chat` (date, playerid, message) VALUES
(FROM_UNIXTIME(1327174200), 590, '/say Saving world data. Expect lag for a short while.');:
com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLIntegrityConstraintViolationException: Duplicate entry '68205' for key 'PRIMARY'

Is there a command to tell LogBlock to wipe it's cache of SQL stuff to be committed? I fixed it by just emptying the lb-chat table so there'd be no index conflicts, but I'd really prefer a better method.

Every time I try and have LB start logging, it doesn't work. It shows up in the /plugins list as green, but I use the tool (270; wooden pickaxe) and right/left click and nothing happens. I type /lb and it says this: "No database connected. Please check your MySQL user/pw and database for typos. Start/restart your MySQL server."

This is what I have under "mysql" in the config for LogBlock:
    mysql:
    user: minecraft
    password: server
    host: localhost
    database: minecraft
    port: 25565

The I.P I use to connect is 71.99.136.55, and the port that is open is 25565. So if someone could change this just to how it should look for my specific server... I can't think of a reward, but it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

  28. I think my table for the world log is corrupt. When I try to /lb area after i break a block it doesnt show a thing.. But when I use the bedrock it keeps telling me that waterflow destoyed whatever.

Is there a way I can fix this?

logblock works with all my other worlds but not the main world.

This is the error given in console by logblock after some hour of running!
    What I can do?

    MfG Odai

/lb savequeue (to make sure all block changes in queue are written to the database)

To repair a table use following MySQL query:
REPAIR TABLE `lb-world`; (or whatever your table is called)
Guardian? Nein, aber ich plane mein altes AnyReg auf LB / Guardian Basis wieder lauffähig zu machen.
Do you actually have a MySQL server on localhost?
You need to modify x and z columns:
