The converter from Yeti to PEX that nijikokun posted is great except you then have to go to all users and change groups: to group:

otherwise you will be stuck as your default group

Can someone post a vid on how to downgrade from perm 3.x to perm 2.x so i can migrate my user/group yml files over

*To migrate from Permissions 3.x to PEX you should downgrade your configs to Permissions 2.x schema* this and the broken enwish the other fellow did to try and explain this process did nothing to help me understand the "simple" process thnx :)

I'm not 100% sure, but it may be as simple as merging the groups.yml and users.yml into one file and renaming it world.yml (replace world with the folder name, ie the name of the world), and putting all these world.yml type files directly into the Permissions directory. I'd also delete Permissions.jar in case it had auto-update.

They have one file, similar to permisbukkit

That's so vague that it can be seen both as right and wrong. As I recall, Permissions 3 had separate files for users and groups while Permissions 2 had them both in the same file.

As in one giant global file

Just to be clear, essentials still offers group manager which is just like permissions 2x and 3x

  10. If you are in to that kind of thing.

I was under the impression that even Essentials had decided to discontinue GroupManager.
