Hi, I've been using Bukkit for ages now and I usuaully host a server to play with my friends, I run my server on my PC and play minecraft at the same time and it runs perfectly, however I have a Major problem that has occured recently from out of the blue.

I'm getting these error messages(Posted in the same order as they happened):

    [SEVERE] java.net.SocketException: Socket closed
    [SEVERE] at java.net.SocketOutputStream.socketWrite(Unknown Source)
    [SEVERE] at java.net.SocketOutputStream.write(Unknown Source)
    [SEVERE] at java.io.BufferedOutputStream.flushBuffer(Unknown Source)
    [SEVERE] at java.io.BufferedOutputStream.flush(Unknown Source)
    [SEVERE] at java.io.DataOutputStream.flush(Unknown Source)
    [SEVERE] at net.minecraft.server.NetworkWriterThread.run(SourceFile:104)

Straight after this my friends are kicked from the server and I get an insane amount of lag, my Framerate drops dramatically from the average 60fps to 5-3fps.

I usually have three of my friends on my server and they report absolutely no lag, I'm baffled that this problem would randomly occcur, I've even started two new worlds since this problem occured, and this doesn't happen, and then after awhile it just happeneds once again -_- I'm really annoyed by this.

Can anyone help me with this problem please? It's really bothering me because I can't play on my server with my friends and I have loads of stuff on my worlds.

    Minecraft Version 1.8.1+Server

Is there anything in the logs before those messages? Or to the tend to just appear randomly?

    Unset

How do you connect to your own computer? using 'localhost' or your local IP?
When I had problems with the connection, I used 192.168.2.102. (which is my local IP) Maybe that solves the problem, maybe not.
A local IP starts with 192.168, you can find it when you type "ipconfig" in cmd.exe

I'm using Hamachi as I haven't had time to port forward, I use the Hamachi IP which works perfectly.

Please Help, I've been struggling all day to combat these errors, also an Error that occurs before those is "Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded?"

I've had a problem similar to this. Do you or your friends make massive redstone creations? That really lags the server and uses a ton of processing power.

I think this happens because not all the folders are in there, or something is wrong with the starter

  12. Those error messages mean nothing. Since I have been hosting Minecraft server(s) and no matter how much RAM I give for it, those errors still appear, but the server runs just perfectly.

Also, are you using any plugins?

Just saying it only took me a couple minutes to port forward for Bukkit, Votifier, and Minequery at the same time.

    I'm using a GUI Server "http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/ad...per-for-your-server-now-w-in-game-cmds.17834/"

I'm using numerous plugins and I've allocated 2000MB of Ram, Even when I remove the plugins I get the same problem.

Which folders are these? I have a Plugins Folder and a few server files in the root folder.?

Nope, we haven't got any redstone creations.

And the problem has appeared again, this time my console is spammed with " [WARNING] Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded?" and I get those error messages once again.

    Have you tried Chunkster?

  20. Update your java or something. If the server doesn't run with or without plugins, I doubt its in the server itself.

I once tried it on a map before and I had pieces of my world missing :O

I've updated before but thanks for the suggestion, It runs but then after awhile those errors appear, I'll attempt to uninstall and reinstall java and see if that works thanks.

I'm not too sure, this is just a guess. The Socket closed error usually happens when a player disconnects unexpectedly, since your clients FPS drops when this happens, I doubt it is anything to do with the server , and more to do with your computer you are connecting on. Which is why your the only one experiencing problems, by any chance are you playing on the same computer that is hosting the server?
