    Still seeing fake ores even with the @DoctorBoyd transparents ids :S :S
     
  3. Is this now integrated with CraftBukkit? I'm on my server without this plugin installed using Wireframe, and I cannot see any ores that aren't exposed to air in the caves.

    those conflicting reports on 1240 & Spout 1.0.6 are to risky for me.

    I will wait for 'official' confirmation before I will use this (and believe me, I REALLY want to.

    Easiest way to check: Get an X-Ray mod and try yourself ;)

    (feel free to join our current - temporary - server, it is installed there)

    Hello. I've attempted to use your plugin an am hitting a brick wall with it. My server is using Spout (serverside only, not forcing users to download a Spout client) and so I have downloaded your Spout version only. Placed it in my plugins folder, reloaded, rebooted, nothing. Left it there for several days after countless more reloads and reboots. It just doesn't work.

    It says that if a person is using Spout, to use the Spout Ore-to-Client Obfuscation.

    Just doesn't seem to do anything, bro. Do I need the Craftbukkit version as well? I read somewhere that if you use both the Spout and the CraftBukkit version, you'll get huge lag spikes, but the Spout version in it's own isn't working. Yet, we have Spout.

    What's going on?

    I've tested this plugin(spout version) yesterday with 2 different xray clients, im using RB 1240, mode 2 and chests are still protected.

    Just wanted to share this.

    It seems that an xray user with just placing torches in a cave can 'xray' still. Using engine 2 on the spout version - is there anyway around this?

    Could you maybe also obfuscate the seed in F3? Because I'm sure pretty soon someone will make a mod to find ores based on seed instead of server information.

    AFAIK, the seed needs to be sent to the client because the client uses it to render things like weather and biome colors. That has always been true, but the seed has never been as easily viewable as it is now.

    If you are the tinkering type, you could decompile the code and make two very slight modifications so that the algorithms for dungeon placement and other 'placeables' like ore nodes, trees, etc use a modified seed -- something like [seed] + [your key]. That way the seed is still sent to the client, but it isn't the seed used for ore placement. ;)
