Thank you, been using this on my server for a few months. Its rock solid so far and never fails to comply. Since enderman appeared and started giving me issues, I wasn't very hopeful that this would get updated.
Thank you very much for continuing with this.

Nifty! I'll drop it on a server and take it for a spin! Thanks for the update!

But im kinda lost on the permissions.

What can I do to help with that lost feeling?

    I read that.

So I would give .admin to guest?

    And epiczones.ignorepermissions for admin?
What permission is used for deleting other zones? (You know incase an idiot protects someone else's house.)

Whoever you want to be able to create and manipulate zones, you would give epiczones.admin access.

If you want somebody do be able to do whatever they want regardless of the restrictiongs on build/destroy/entry in a zone, give them epiczones.ignorepermissions

If you want somebody to be able to make changes to a specific zone that you have defined. Make them an owner of that zone. If somebody is the owner of a zone, they do not have to have epiczones.admin permissions to make changes to that zone. They also cannot change anthying that would affect the size of the zone. (points, ceiling, floor, radius)

To delete a zone, use the /zone edit command, then /zone delete followed by /zone confirm. That will delete the zone in question.

In builds of EpicZones before 0.27, its recommended to issue a /ezreload command after modifying zones. This is fixed in 0.27 going forward, which has yet to be released.

Does this also work for deleting a zone that I did not make nor have owner of that zone?

  9. Offline

    jblaske

No, the epiczones.ignorepermissions is only for ignoring zone specific access permissions, like build/destroy/entry.

If you are an Admin, you can delete any zone. If you are an owner, you *might* be able to delete any zone you own, but that would be it. I'm not 100% sure on that right now, as I'm not looking at the code.

I see know, I installed it and messing around with the commands.

But is there a tool to see what zone im in?

And lets says player A make a zone how can he let player B only build/destroy in that zone?

Currently, there are two ways to tell what zone you are in.
    a) use the /who command, it will show you the zone you are in.
    b) use enter/exit messages on your zones to announce when you are in a zone.

There is another coming in 0.27 to tell what zone you are in, if you are running a spout enabled client.

If you are an admin, or owner of a zone. you can edit the zone and add permissions for other players through the commands.

is there a trick to making this work with the groups defined in BukkitPerms? I've got SuperPermBridge installed for compatibility with other plugins.

EZ doesn't seem to be recognizing the groups defined in BukkitPerms. If I set the EZ zone permissions by player name, it works. By group, it doesn't work.

    I get this:
    Code:
[EpicZones] Using Bukkit Permissions for permission management.
    [EpicZones] Updating Message List...
    [EpicZones] Language File Loaded [EN_US.txt].
    [EpicZones] Loaded GLOBAL Zone [world_nether]
    [EpicZones] Loaded GLOBAL Zone [world]
    [EpicZones] version 0.26 is enabled.

I'd advise you to check your EpicZone/config.yml for errors

That's some pretty wacky errors, if you can, submit a ticket and attach all the epic zones related files that you have.

Version 0.27 is now out! I've enhanced the language file system, and now you get 3 languages included by default. If anybody wants to translate EpicZones into another language, feel free and submit a ticket and we can work it out!

EpicZones now supports Spout, very small features right now - but more will come in future versions (Like a window to modify your zone properties rather than using commands?!?!)

The next release is planned to enhance the useability of EpicZones so it is less tedious to use. If there is something that bothers you that you wish was easier, please submit a ticket so I can look into it.

    Enjoy!
    • Version 0.27
      • Added Spout functionality.
        • Current zone is displayed in the top right corner of the users display, if they are running a spoutcraft enabled client.
        • Pressing F4 toggles display of XYZ of player along the top of the screen.
      • New zones will default the following values to the same as the global zone the zone is created within.
        • Ceiling
        • Explode
        • Fire
        • FireBurnsMobs
        • Floor
        • Mobs
        • PVP
        • Regen
        • Sanctuary
      • Fixed serveral bugs that were causing log files to get out of hand.
      • Enhanced Multi-Language support, currently included languages
        • English (EN_US)
        • German (DE_DE)
        • French (FR_FR)

  23. SpoutEssentials already does the F4 to display coordinates. What are the chances of the two conflicting?

    jblaske

Depends on how they are displaying the info. Most likely it will just display both sets on the screen.

  25. Padded Top-left, not in Debug Mode. It also has view bearing data in degrees.

EpicZones displays it on the top center, so likely F4 will enable both views and display them both.

  27. Pressing F4 opens SpoutCo-ords first. Pressing it again switches to EZ-Co-ords. At this point, it's not possible to display neither as it'll keep switching between the two.
Problem (I use that term loosely) should be solved by deleting SpoutCoords.jar. But maybe you should have a custom keybinding available?

Although displaying the Zone at the top-right is cool. Well done.

    • Edit: Enderman mobs still spawn in areas (including worlds) whose mob flag is set to NONE.

I'll be looking into some configuration options for the spout functionality. Potentially even some client level changeable stuff.

  29. Lastly, this was an edit in my previous post, but it looked like you replied three minutes too fast for me. Here's the message anyway.

Enderman mobs still spawn in areas (including worlds) whose mob flag is set to NONE. If /butcher'd (kills all hostile and passive mobs nearby), they will eventually respawn if conditions are appropriate.

Can you please attach one of your zone config files to a ticket so i can review the settings and verify what i need to change. Thanks!
