    • Wilderness Rules (Optional)
      • Area between towns is wilderness, with its own build permissions.
      • Limit players' interaction with the wild to just harvest-able blocks, keeping the wild pristine.
      • Roll-back tnt, creeper, wither explosions, dragon damage and endermen block-moving.
      • Block explosions and fire.
    • PVP Enhancements

Hey ElgarL, I installed the new Towny and now it shows the information for jobs, but everytime I type a new line, it repeats the entire naming scheme again. So like if it is

Novice Miner [SpawnTown][Owner] Hermit erawr00> hi

Then the next line will say:

<[SpawnTown][Owner] Hermit Novice Miner [SpawnTown][Owner] Hermit erawr00> hi

I've noticed that towny 0.75.1 will not let me claim new town blocks, I press /town claim auto (or even with a defined block size like 5) and it says Invalid radius. Use an integer or 'auto'

@ElgarL Yes they are a member of the town

The command is /town claim 5 or /town claim auto

You need to have townblocks to spare and if you use iConomy you might need money in the town bank. Also make sure you're doing this in the homeblock or in the wilderness on the edge of your town.

i'm aware, we have over 100 blocks free, and a town bank of 44000 which is plenty to claim what we want/need. I AM using /town claim 5 or /town claim auto as specified in my previous post..... I am in the wilderness at the edge of town when I do it as well.

still means i have to be in a town in the spawn area tho doesn't it? the spawn area is just the "server town area" with shops and stuff, which is protected by worldguard. but people can make /towns with towny in there and i dont want them to be able to.

  16. You don't have to be in the town. Make the town there (single homeblock) then /ta set mayor npc

again no way in 0.75.1 to disable the /t delete command for normal users.
is the function ever planed again?
    we must still use 0.73.0.

  20. Only mayors and admins are able to use /town delete

Ok so I am trying to use this, but with essentials. Is this possible? It always says "Incorrect economy plugin. Try updating" when I try to put money in the bank...

I've been reviewing the forum and website for a while and think I know the answers but want to have an expert confirm:

Our main problem in general is that we need an easy way to setup plots for new players. They will not be able to build outside those plots. Currently we do this manually with Residences, while we have some command aliases, it's a pain to do every 16x16 plot manually. Towny seems like a much better way of doing that.

However I have two concerns and need recommendations on the best to handle them:

    - When players first join the server, does someone with authority have to run the add command so that the player could "join" a town and then buy a plot? Or will the default town setting in the config take care of that?

    - Right now players may buy plots very easily when there is a sign in the plot. They right-click the sign and boom - transaction done. We have a warp to the open plots but could benefit from a map which is another reason we want Towny. Is there any easy way of letting them click on a sign to purchase the plot? Or at least show that it's available?

    Thanks!

You can use the default town setting in the config, I do this on my server and it's also a town where players can only affect land they personally own. Other mayors can invite the player but he'll need to use the /town leave command first.

This isn't available now, but when a player walks into a town, over an owned plot or a plot that is for sale a notification is sent in chat. For plots which are for sale there is a [For Sale] Owner:Seller Cost:$$. There is also the map you mentioned which is a little difficult to navigate at first, but shows dollars symbols for plots which can be bought.
