Well the title says it all, my server lost power from a power serge while it was on and the map is not corrupted. Not sure if there is a relation between the two events but it seems pretty likely. Really there are chunks that are out of place and I do not know how to repair the map.

My other option would be to start the map over and export things from the old map and import them into the new map but even this would be tedious. Even if things are not repaired perfectly, I would at least like to get the server back up since it will not start due to the errors. We can always repair any damage ourselves in game, as long as the server can get up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I suggest Chunkster.

    Surely you made map backups?

Thanks I tried that but unfortunately it did not work. The type of errors I am getting are as follows

    [INFO] Chunk (-1, -2) stored at (-10, -3)

Chunkster did not seem to do anything other than read in the map. I get the same errors after using Chunkster.

I did, but I do not have one that is too recent, and I a lot of people have done a lot of work since my last backup. If possible I would like to repair this, and from now on I will be doing nightly backups.

EDIT: the growing pains of a new server that is getting off the ground with more people than my close friends, so I would feel bad if I said yea... soo.... were going to have to time travel a bit...

Okay this is resolved, if anyone has a problem like this use the repair function in MCEdit in world info, then load the map up in single player, then move the map back over to the multiplayer server. This fixed the map, although it did delete some chunks and generate new ones in their place, all in all not much was lost. Also the Biomes have changed now but atleast we have our map back.
