    Introduction to Heroes
    Heroes is a dynamic, flexible and highly configurable class, skill and experience system. Heroes itself is the hub of your players RPG experience, boasting classes, multi-tiered and fully fleshed out. Along with classes, Heroes offers your players a new style of PvP through our well-developed skill system and our weapon + armor restrictions. No longer will your mages have the ability to use diamond swords, your rogues will no longer sneak around in their heavy diamond tunics and most importantly, you can now hurl fireballs and stun your targets. The best part of this? It's your choice how your Heroes is set up, don't want a certain skill, that's fine, you can just remove the skill and be done with it! We're working towards making everything about Heroes configurable.

    What can I do with it?
    With Heroes, you can do almost anything you'd want to do on an RPG server. The main feature is our customizable tiered class system, which offers as much to the server owner as possible. Your Heroes could be totally unique to your server, it could be the reason players play your server over a server with Heroes but a different set up. The same can be said about our skill system, it's unique to any of the other RPG plugins out there. Other plugins dub "Skills" as methods which you level up, this isn't the case with Heroes. Skills are things you can do which are unique to your class. Some of our favorite skills are Fireball, Jump and Port. This is what makes Heroes unique.

    What will you help me with?
    We'll help you with errors. That is where it ends. We will not be supporting your issues with your configuration files unless it's a bug within our code. Heroes is a big plugin and it's taken a few months to develop, we don't want to spend the next few months supporting silly issues rather than developing new and awesome features. Posting in this thread with an issue regarding a YML file will get you ignored. We'll be OK with helping you understand the configuration files, but we will not be fixing them for you.

    Where can I download it?
    You can download the latest recommended build here. You can download only the primary Heroes jar or the primary jar along with all the skills provided in a ZIP archive. Each skill inside the ZIP is enclosed in it's own jar, meaning you can pick and choose what skills you want your server to run. This is so you don't have un-necessary weight on your server.

      • Permission nodes to set what classes are obtainable for the default user

      • Skills in the base platform of Heroes
      • All permitted skills start with /skill <skillname>
      • Allows for developers to add in their own code for new skills
      • Adjustable through skills.yml or overwritten in classes.yml

      • Based on the permission-node system, ability to set the level required to learn certain permission-nodes to have a highly configurable system.
      • Does not use the /skill prefix - Permission skills copy the original command exactly.
      • Also works with non-command required Permission nodes (ie. Firelord for special armor abilities for certain classes)
      • Example: herosneak.sneak can be granted to a "Rogue" class at level 10 - so when they reach level 10 - they can now use the ability /sneak
    • Binding Skills
      • Ability to '/bind <skillname>' to an item to right click and use that skill
      • Use '/bind' again to clear the bind and remove the right click ability
      • Currently only works for Permitted-Skills

      • Armor & Weapon restrictions based on level and class

      • /level - to show information about the level - comes with a nice interface to show you how much left to obtain the next level.
      • Set a mastery level - once achieved the user may switch to different classes and have their level/skills saved on the mastered class.
      • Configurable curves of exp to make lower levels easier and higher levels harder to get through
      • Optional Health gain per level
      • Configurable loss of exp (0.10 = 10% per death) by current level

    Max summon is the max amount of summons a class can have. I don't know what you mean for the second question.

    i have the same problem. Is there any way (preferably easy) to fix this? I want to set trees on fire :D and strike thigns with lightning :D

    EDIT: Also, would it be possible to include infinite mana for a select few by the admin?
    EDIT2: Also, the normal summon <creature> doesn't seem to work with names like zombie. is this my error or plugin error?

    What do the summons do though? Like summon a creature or something?
    And so birch could be 3 and normal logs could be 4 stuff like that.
    Also, do i have to give classes the tools they can use? Like diamondpickaxe and stuff like that or do they just get that from leveling up mining and logging?

    The only way I know to add mana to players would be to edit their Heroes player file and add more than 100 mana to them.

    It is for the summons skills, like wolf and summon. Though I believe this skills were said to be kind of broken right now, not sure if its been fix. I never tested them out myself yet.
    All tools you want to give to classes must be added in the class.yml, if not they wont be able to use them at all.
    EDIT: Forgot to talk about this but; all skills do not do "block" damage, so you can not burn down a tree with fireball

    So for the weapons do i write DIAMOND_PICKAXE or DIAMOND-PICKAXE.

    And if i choose diamond, does that mean they can use all the other weapons or do i have to give them irona nd stuff aswell? Sorry for the simple questions.

    If you just download it and read the readme.txt it clearly says:
    Used to add effects when players come into contact with water.

    Settings:
    damage-per-second: # - Points of health (half hearts) lost per second when the player is in water
    heal-per-second: # - Points of health (half hearts) healed per second when the player is in water
    mana-per-second: # - Points of mana gained per second when the player is in water

    They only get what you give them. For instance

    DIAMOND

    would give them all diamond tools. But none of the wood, iron, gold or stone tools. You must write each. Also, if you want someone to have all gold tools and only diamond pickaxe, this is what you'd write

    Hello, I had an idea, but that was optional in the config, the classes can not fight someone of the same class, that would be great, but I had become a place that was used to select worldeditpvp it was released, many servers help world, especially that of my friend.

    Would that work though? i think i might have tried it earlier, but it only set your mana back to 100, not the amount you/admin set it as. Also, to the makers of this wonderful plugin, if you have the time and ability, i dont really want to be pushy, but could you also add an additional mana per level and base mana option like you do for health? this would make the characters seem to really get more powerful as they gain levels.

    EDIT: yea, i check the mana thing, it doesn't really increase your mana. if you left the server without full mana, the best you could do there in the players file is reset it to 100. any amount over that will instantly go back to 100 when you log in. (while testing this i made sure that the character file that i added mana to was saved, so that the server would use the changes. it did not give more than 100 mana)

    2.And is there any way to allow skills like fireball to set things on fire?also, for the Summon skill where it would be used as /skill summon <creature> you input the creatures name correct?
    3. if so, i dont believe this skill is wrking. any way to fix that? -answered below-

    4. And finally (for now), For a class or specialization name, can there be spaces in the names,(possibly using an _) so that you can have something like The Archer? or with an underscore between - also answered below -

    oh great... i forgot what question one was >.< lol. What did you want to know how to fix? If your talking about the fireball thing, thats not what i meant, i had another question that i replaced with: "Fixed question one :D" I wish i could fix summon and such. I'm learning java now, go onto youtube and search Thenewboston and start form video one. they are pretty short and really easy to follow.

    Yes, as RightLegRed stated earlier, summon is not currently working :(. i had some other questions that i replaced with fixed it, and then forgot what was there in the first place >.< Well, im also looking forward to the fixing of summon and other skills, but we cant force people to do things for us. they have to either want to, or we do it ourselves. :/
