    Quick suggestion.

Could you add a /item blacklist so I could allow users to spawn items but make it so they can not spawn TNT and such? It would be a very useful add on.

Just curious, to make it easier, could you have the essentials.zip with the split up plugins and then the essentials.jar, so those who use the whole thing could update the plugin more easily? If not, I understand.

Ok, it's been confirmed that all /warp, /setwarp, and /delwarp commands are iffy. Depending on what CraftBukkit build you're using, they act differently, but for all intents and purposes, they are buggy. Zenexer told me he's going to push for a fix soon.

is there a command that an admin can use to teleport a player to a warp?

No, but you can warp yourself there and then use the /tphere command on the player.

Now that I'm testing the latest version out (release 175), EssentialsHome has a major initialization bug. I cleaned out my plugins directory and have tested on CraftBukkit 293 and 297, with the Essentials plugins the only ones there. The plugin data folders were not created yet. On CraftBukkit startup, I got this error:

Removing the EssentialsHome.jar file took care of the error. Further, copying the contents of the Essentials data folder over to the EssentialsHome data folder fixed the problem. At a guess I'd say it's looking for the config.yml in the EssentialsHome data folder, and crashing if it can't find it.

    Swoosh Bear

I am having trouble with my Essentials. I have just updated the craftbukkit.jar to the most recent one and now /give is broken. It is only that one command that doesn't work though.

    It says:
The server is not recent enough to support /give.

The thing is, I just updated my craftbukkit to the newest version -_-
and whenever I try the latest Essentials build, it breaks any Essentials teleport commands, too.

    Any help?

A fix was pushed for release and now it looks as though most of the obvious bugs have been fixed with the latest versions of CraftBukkit. Remember, you can always get the latest CraftBukkit versions HERE.

Yeah, 176 wasn't out when I posted that. I noticed it myself and tested it, it does indeed fix the error and there is now only the Essentials data folder (no additional EssentialsHome data folder). Thanks, Zenexer.[IMG]

Can someone confirm that permissions are no longer working? Everyone in our server has access to the essentials commands. I've updated to version 176 and the latest Bukkit builds as of this post.

The problem started when I updated Essentials yesterday after the jar's were split up. I also reloaded my development server with no other plugins and am still getting the same result.

If other people are having this problem as well, then I'll revert back to build.. 156?

    Thanks

    Warp Problem -
I have all the Essentials plugins v176 loaded on my server. When I create a warp with a name such as player1-test, a .dat file is created of player1_test.dat. When you type /warp, the warp list now shows the warp as player1_test.

If you type /warp player1-test, the warp works and the console says "Warped to player1_home"

Seems like a problem with - vs _ . It was more confusing because build 175 wasn't showing the warp listing. Is this a bug or the intended function.

I don't think you read me right, I have Essentials.jar, I DO NOT have essentialshelp.jar, as a matter of fact the only other essentials I have besides the core is essentialsspawn, however /help gives me Essentials help command, and MCDocs /help command. I have no other plugins that have a /help command and it only happened when I updated to build 174 of Essentials

hahaha, sorry about that. I totally did not see the "help" tacked onto the end here. Ok, so you're using Essentials 174? You need to update to 176. Let me know if you have any more problems after that.

For the teleport timer I've been working on, I decided to just solely stick to having it effect /home and /spawn for now. I've got it finished and tested. Here's the diff patch against SVN revision 334:
    http://wimbli.com/minecraft/TeleportTimer.patch
This will only be useful to someone who can compile from source, of course. I also included my earlier bugfix for the cooldown time display only showing in minutes, never in seconds.

I'll go ahead and start a conversation directly with Zenexer and ementalo as well.

    McGuvyer

Yeah, seems to be. If you rename the .dat file in the filesystem to have a - instead of _ then you can see the updated name in the warp list (using a hyphen) but then can't use that warp at all.

'/warp' shows player1-test in the list after renaming the .dat file
'/warp player1-test' now gives "Error: That warp does not exist." error
'/warp player1_test' now also gives "Error: That warp does not exist." error, so the warp is completely unusable now

renaming player1-test.dat back to player1_test.dat again makes it where '/warp player1-test' or '/warp player1_test' both work even though the /warp listing only shows player1_test

    mcserver@sandbox:~/dev$ unzip Essentials.zip
    Archive: Essentials.zip
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of Essentials.zip or
Essentials.zip.zip, and cannot find Essentials.zip.ZIP, period.

When I just download the straight JAR file I get the following error message:

I have made sure that the unzip utility and wget utility are not the culprit. I have been able to download several other ZIP & JAR files and extract them perfectly fine.

Edit: I was able to get a working version off of your wiki site however. So it appears that it is just something with the earth2me repository artifacts that is being wonky.
