    Multiverse 2 is a ground up rewrite of the popular Multiverse plugin for CraftBukkit. There are many new features, the biggest one being the much better usability and cleaner code! MV2 has been in the works for over 2 months and given the size of it, the developers are confident that you'll find a small bug or two.     People can't log into my 1060 Bukkit Server!:
    Are you using spout? If so, you need to upgrade it to a dev version or disable it until those guys release a 1060 compatible version.

    How do I know if I'm running CB XXXX or higher?:
    Type /version. The number here is your CB version:

    like in one world they can use /give
    i want it so they cant give them stuff in one world, and take it back to a survival world

    I got a problem with spawning. Our spawn point is on a pier, and since I added Multiverse new players don't spawn on the right spot, and it keeps shifting several blocks, sometimes even dropping them off the edge. I use SpawnX to control the point. If i use the /spawn command it goes to the right place, but any new players get moved on joining. This has only happened since I added MV. I also set the spawnpoint in mv and even set both respawning options in the config file to false. Any help would be most appreciated

    I don't know if its a issue with this or notch;'s code.

    I have a test sky world every time I '/mvtp sky' the server locks up and I crash out no errors in console.

    But client side I get:

    Only does it to skyworld even on a remake of it and nothing else.

    if it's permissions 3.1.x, you make a new folder in the permissions folder and name it the same as you named the new world. then drop in a copy of your other world's groups and users yml files, and modify as you see fit

    i keep getting the you do not have the right to access this command. here is node i have in bukkitpermissions
    multiverse.*: true
    all everything else has worked fine with the new build and permissions system.
     
  13. I assume you're using MV2? Because MV1 does not support BukkitPermissions natively (think you can use it with the bridge...) Hop in our irc channel to discuss this.

    I can't seem to get mobs working in only specific worlds. No matter what is set in worlds.yml if I set monsters to true in server properties all worlds have monsters, If I set it to false no worlds have monsters.
    I have worlds.yml set to spawn mobs in the nether world but they dont, you can however take damage and not re-generate health.

    Mobs in other worlds don't obey to spawn limits set in server.properties. Why?
    There is an extra config file in the MultiVerse folder.

    make sure you're not duplicating permissions anywhere, duplicates tend to cause strange issues. make sure your users, if Admins, have no extra permissions other than what the Admins group gives them

    Anyone have any ideas? Mobs are still not spawning even though they are set to true in world.yml.
     
  22. MultiVerse has worked flawlessly for me for ages now, but something seems to have changed. It seems as if it used to only load worlds as it needed them - if there were players in them, but now it seems to load every single world upon startup.

    Am I succumbing to the bad city air and imagining this, or did I maybe do something daft to my config?

    It has always loaded worlds upon startup, it's just that MultiVerse itself now loads before the primary worlds (main and optionally nether), so the loading of the main worlds is less separated from the loading of the MultiVerse worlds in the logs.

    Or something like that.

    Hello, I have a problem with my Skylands map. A couple of minutes ago my server crashed and after turning it on, the skyland map started using biomes and it now has the day and the night. The clouds appeared too. Do you know how to fix it?

  28. The new Builds of MV2 now support this.

    CB 1024+ is required for MV2 B132+

    All that means is that the last 5 builds have been successful.

    Here's the official word:
    NetherPortals - Basically done and tested. It's good to go and has some neat new features.
    Portals - :( (Still just creation/delet, very basic)

    I've been trying to do portals, but with these permissions shenanigans, It's gotten pushed back. I'm not going to make any more "during the week" promises, come talk to me this sunday, and we'll see how much progress has been made on them.

    It has always loaded all worlds on startup. This will also be the case with 2's inital release, but we'll look into dynamic loading in the future.

    Sounds like you need to fix your world, there are tools for repairing worlds. The other thing you could try is removing it using /mvremove WORLDNAME then re-importing it as a skylands world: /mvimport WORLDNAME SKYLANDS

    Well, seeing as this "problem" appears very often, I'd imagine it's another plugin blocking them. Try disabling everything but MV and seeing if they still don't spawn.

    Does this mean I can create portals and connect them together? I think that's all I need for portals...

    As for NetherPortals, if I understand correctly they'll work exactly like regular nether portals, right? Except that you can have multiple nethers linking to different worlds?

    And the two types of portals can be used together?

    Also, are there instructions somewhere? I'm thinking of upgrading sometime in the next week (still waiting on SpaceManiac's Permissions 3 converter though), and I'd like to be able to switch to the new Multiverse. Even rudimentary instructions would do, I guess.

    I have another problem:
    no matter what I do it seems I just cant get the chat prefix working. (worldname before the playername in the chat)
    I set prefix to true in the MultiVerse.yml and nothing happens. i am using HeroChat. what else do i have to do?!
    can someone help?

    How do I use the /mvtp command to teleport to a world named 'The Real World'. The command doesn't like the space and just pops up the list of help commands for it. Any help would be appreciated.
