I won't port LogBlock myself to mcAPI. Source code is available, so it shouldn't be to difficult for someone else to do it, also I'm still here. so I can answer questions. If there is more than one willing, that's up to you to handle that.

The reasons I take this step, are the usual: I quit playing Minecraft about 5 months ago and lastly I was struggling to keep up with updates. The developement of Guardian made slow progress, so I fear it won't be ready to fully replace LB in time.

    Description:

LogBlock logs block changes into a MySQL database. Block changes can be placed or destroyed block, explosions, burned blocks, sign text changes, chest access, leaves decay etc.
It can be used as griefer identification tool, to find out who build a particular building, or even roll back changes by certain players. Other purposes can be e.g: Undoing of forest fires
All additional features are optional, to keep the database as short as possible. All database actions run in their own threads to avoid server lags.
The use of permissions plugin (or any clone) is possible, but not necessary.
Uses Spout for chest logging (but it's fully optional, and there is no need for the client mod at all).

    Features:
    • Logging for block placing, block braking, fire, explosions, leaves decay, signtexts, lava flow and chest content
    • Very mighty commands system, not only allowing to rollback and redo, but also to tp to blockchanges, delete log ingame etc. Full list of commands.
    • Many parameters for lookup/rollback/redo/tp/clearlog commands: Block changes of one ore more player, in a specific area, in a world edit selection, specific block types only, block changes older or newer that a specific date, destroyed/created block only, in a different world and combinations of all these parameters. Full list of parameters.
    • Rebuilding map after importing a backup (/lb redo)
    • Last parameter to use the parameters of the last command
    • Quick ingame lookup of block history a wood pickaxe or a bedrock block.
    • All commands accessible from console (exept tools :D)
    • Custom queries for tools.
    • Different tool modes (lookup, rollback, redo, writelogfile and clearlog)
    • Saves block data like wool color, log type, torch adjustment, etc
    • Multiworld and multiserver support (some servers sharing the same database)
    • BigBrother log import
    • Loggable super pickaxe plugin (not to confuse with WorldEdit's super pickaxe)
    • API
    • Webstats
    Why to use LogBlock:

Example commands: (thanks to tha d0ctor, read more about commands here)

/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours
/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h area 15 – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours within a radius of 15 blocks

    /lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1h - rolls back thad0ctor 1 hour
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1d area 5 – rolls back thad0ctor actions for the last day within 5 blocks
/lb rollback area 10 since 1h30m - rolls back all modifications within 10 blocks since the list 1 hours and 30 mins
/lb rollback area 10 before 06.11.2011 - roll back all changes in an area of 1o before June 11th, 2011
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 05:36:00 - roll back all changes of thad0ctor since 05:36 (server time)

    How to post error messages:

I won't aswer questions to general MySQL setup/installation/what is MySQL (there are lots of good tutorials out there, use google)
Please read the installation guide before asking a question about installation problems.
Please read the FAQ before posting a error report. It may be solved there.
In case of rollback or lookup problems: Type /lb savequeue and try again (when it's fixed then, it was a consumer problem, see FAQ)

BukkitContrib causes a conflict with mcMMO and WorldEdit.

Makes the game think anything I click with, is the item in the first slot.

So I could have my wooden axe in the far left slot, and when I click with my Iron Ingot in slot six, it thinks I'm using Wooden axe.

I -love- the features offered by 1.01, but I have to downgrade now. I'm hoping this gets fixed quickly, as full chest logging completes my anti-grief security. :(

DiddiZ, please update your zip with the latest BukkitContrib version.

For everyone, to fix that problem with worldedit and mcmmo and other things, just search for BukkitContrib and update to the latest version. That will fix it and logging still works fine.

I'm sorry but the LogBlockQuestioner plugin isn't optional atm. (Will be with next update)
    Yes. Forgot it :D
You can disable chest logging or update BukkitContrib (v0.4 is out)
I'll rather put in a link.

The included is v0.2, but v0.4 is out.
    But better ask there: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/18192/

Also I want to ask if I rollback a person (chest only) how would I do that in that certain area? Because I think all this plugin does is rollback the world history that they did, and unfortunately the chest raid was a while back and now if I do that a lot of thinks will happen.

    DiddiZ

    /lb rollback chestaccess :D

  11. Do you really have to have the Since parameter? I always forget it.

  12. Offline

    DiddiZ

maybe you can easier remember the alias "time"?

  13. Offline

    Toni

That will only rollback the chest I'm standing on / next to? I don't to rollback anything else he took / added to different chests.

    I also did this: /lb rb chestaccess player <usr> since 5 d

would that work for only the user at that certain chest I'm next to from the last 5 days?

  14. Offline

    DiddiZ

Would affect all in the world in the last 5 days.
To limit the area add "area 5" or make a worldedit selection and "/lb rb player <name> chestaccess since 5 d"

Oh! Thank you so much! I just needed that area param ! Now I know how to use this! haha thanks again

    DiddiZ

    There it is: https://github.com/DiddiZ/LogBlockQuestioner

  17. I remember the word just fine i just dont remember to type it in:
it was so much nicer when you could just /lb rollback player tnt 1 hour
Now you have to do /lb rollback player tnt since 1 hour

Why even have the word since? :( .. Actually why not make it even easier?

    /rbp fire 24 hour
    /rba 25 20 min
    Possibly /lb rbp ... and /lb rba ...

You could use those commands to make it even easier to use, or is there some special feature that ive missed that requires you to use the word since (or any other in the line)?
Also, regarding tracks, redstone, redstone torches, torches and paintings. Why not do rollbacks in two passses, first rollback any and all normal blocks, then rollback stuff that sits on em, like torches on walls. Currently when i rollback i end up with a ton of torches on the ground.. and having to retorch (not burn) a large mansion can be a large job when it gets griefed regularly.

It has to be there, since otherwise LB can't know that you just typed the time specs, since there are no fixed commands. So atm there is no way to skip that, besides reimplementing fixed commands, where I'm happy to got rid of them.
The problem is a different: Bukkit doesn't fires the block break hook for to a block adjected objects, when the block breaks and some blocks drop their items when getting replaced at rollback.
I think it's a corrupted jar. Try redownloading it. Could be vaused by copying the jar not in binary mode.
    -> https://github.com/DiddiZ/LogBlock/wiki/FAQ

  21. So block break hooks arent working, what about block create? When you place a torch, track or whatever. Does that work properly? If so, cant that data be used? Or is it just that the object has been placed but not on which block it is attached to?

  22. Offline

    DiddiZ

Place logging works properly. But LB can't know which block has been broken, but didn't get logged, so it would end up like doing a query for each block and comapere whether the last place matches the current type or not,

  23. Yes, thats exactly what i was thinking.. its a very.. inefficient solution.. but it would put stuff together again. Will the break hooks be added/fixed? If so i suppose i can wait a bit longer.. otherwise go for the dirty solution. Id rather have stuff put back together then not - even if it takes longer and uses more resources doing so.

Hm, will ask the bukkit guys. Don't like hacky workarounds :D
    loss? no

when commands took too long, you should clean a bit :D

Thanks for the quick reply. I want to always keep a journal, never removed. I had an experience with "BigBrother", within 2 weeks I did not delete the log, server to play 40 people, the size of the database was 27mb. MySQL started very strongly shipping system and the server lag. Therefore, he asked :).
