Plugin category: World Management Minecraft version: Spigot 1.8.8 8/12/16 Suggested name: MultiversePortalz What I want: I need a plugin that is similar to Multiverse-NetherPortals but that works. I have a world called Survival and my main world called Lobby. In the server.properties, there is an option to enable/disable the nether. I don't want a nether world for my lobby so I have it disabled. Though I do want a nether world for my Survival world (to be called Survival_nether) to link up with my Survival world. I would like the worlds to be linked automatically through any/all nether portals. I would like there to be no permissions to go through portals. Ideas for commands: /mvrl - mvportals.reload Ideas for permissions: /mvrl - mvportals.reload - Reload the plugin When I'd like it by: 2 weeks from now.
I don't quite understand what you are after, but Warp-Portals would probably work. https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/warp-portals
No. I use that plugin for warps but I want this to be automatic for any nether portals made in the Survival world, to when you enter the portal, make you go to the Survival_nether world.
I don't think that it is possible to detect a NetherPortal automatically. It would have to be set with a selection and command
You could try making a portal a worldguard region and have a warp command run when you walk into the region. You can still place the purple nether portal block.
I mean, it works fine for me. Why isn't it working for you? Any errors in console? Did you link the worlds in the config? (Make sure the nether isn't disabled in server.properties)
Oh it is for me. Read my main post. I want there to be a nether for Survival but not for my main world, Lobby.
Just don't link Lobby and Lobby_nether in the config? (I could set it up for you, if you truly need me to.)
I don't want them linked. Because by default, Spigot creates a nether for the main world in the server.properties which for me is lobby.
Exactly. Just don't link Lobby and Lobby_nether. If someone goes into a nether portal and nothing is linked to Lobby, it wouldn't work. (Etc. Lobby: [] in config)
But the server creates a nether for "Lobby" by default and I don't want it to. Could a plugin disable this in the server?
Not as far as I know, it is in direct bukkit / minecraft code to generate a nether world. Just don't link the two worlds, and no one will ever be able to get there
Wrong. I enabled nether's in my server.properties and on start a world called Lobby_nether was created.
@UnseenMC Exactly? Just don't link them. Deleting the world every time the server restarts is just a waste of CPU time.
So I installed MV-NP and created the Survival-nether world with allow-nether enabled in my properties file and tried to link the survival portals with my survival nether portals and when I tried to go through, nothing happened. Bump.
Would be a no-brainer for me to simply connect a normal world with a nether world for that specific world.. What should happen, if a player (accidently) tries/or enters a nether-portal in the Lobby?
With the plugin, it gives some wacky error and says "There is no portal connected to this world" or something.
