I know I'm on CB #816 and it isn't recommend, but I will tell you anyway, that your plugin doesn't work anymore on 1.6.5(6)!
Maybe you can look into it and fix it?
Just an idea, to use the time until a new recommend build is released!

Using version... 2.1 apparently of ColorMe. Guess I forgot to upgrade this.

 

So did you ever manage to fix this? I tried it a few months back and simply nothing happened, which by looking at the comments, everyone has the same issue.

 

v2.2 should work correctly with Essentials, iChat, etc. thanks to Drakia calling out a few issues with my code.

ColorMe 2.2 and iChat 2.3 aren't working correctly :/
I can color my name, but it's still white!

(Tested with only Permissions 3.1 and iChat and ColorMe! Wihtout iChat, ColorMe is working)

How so exactly? What was the EXACT command you used, what was returned in-game or command line (if anything), and if anything send me a PM with server details and I can log in and check it personally.

I've also started a FAQ section in the first post with the "fix" that way I can just tell people "Read the FAQ" and save myself some stress...maybe.

You don't need to log in It's a very small (output) bug!

If I type

/colorme red
/colorme blue
etc. (all the colors from /colorme list)
ColorMe says:

"You don't have the permission to color your own name."

That's all.
But after /colorme blue for example my name is blue.
So everything works correctly, but the output message is wrong.

(Admin with permissions: - '*', if you want to know this)

 

It doesn't save much stress, users never read mine as you can see

 

This was because, I updated iChat some time ago, but didn't read the changelog really

 

Are there any plugins that work with this that let me change the players actual name? My usual name is ohmydoddtv and I change it to [Operator]-Ohmydoddtv. I try changing the color and it goes back to Ohmydoddtv. Any help?

 

I think there is a bug.
When i type /colorme darkred it is saying that i dont have permissions to color my own name. And i am admin on the server?
Another question.
Can the plugin been installed and used, if permission's color suffix and preffix is in use?

 

Hmm, I think I changed something before in the code that didn't need to be changed. I'm gonna go change it back and see if that fixes the problem with it not remembering if your name changed. But first I need to get CB working...

/colorme list shouldn't be doing that, if so it seems like something may be messing with it because I've never seen that, so I honestly can't tell you why that happened. I'll try using that name on my test server to just see if it's an issue with it understanding names, which I'm betting it's due to it thinking your color is "1690". I'll fix that in the next patch.

 

ah alright i dont think anything will be bugging it becuase im pretty sure before th update my plugin guy got my name to be red ?? sooo idea's ?

 

I'm sure it's just a problem with ColorMe which I'll patch up. It doesn't like the _ in names which I'll need to fix.
