You can get CraftBukkit for 1.8 if you want to, just search it.

 

1) It's not really CraftBukkit
2) He wants CraftBukkit for MC v1.7.2

 

It's 100% CraftBukkit, and you can get the 1.7.2 version there too

 

CraftBukkit 1.8 was made by the Spigot team, which means it isn't really CraftBukkit. There will never be a true CraftBukkit 1.8. If you find a 1.7.2 version online, then it's 100% illegal as it is under DMCA.

 

Slightly off-topic: Is Bukkit under DMCA AND CraftBukkit, or just CraftBukkit? Since Bukkit just holds the interfaces, no actual code inside the methods?

These are all the revisions for 1.7:
v1_7_R1 = 1.7.2
v1_7_R2 = 1.7.5
v1_7_R3 = 1.7.8 + 1.7.9
