Hey guys, I wanted to know how I can have hosting for my server (domain name an 24/7 running). I have paid for hosting, but it started a new server. Does anyone know how I can do it for my already made server?

Easy, copy the files, if you don't know how to use FTP or SFTP to copy files, don't bother hosting a server xD

Eshonbel when you buy a payed host you just have to upload your server files most host require you to use ftp filezilla you can ask your host how to do this.

Upload all files and run java -jar craftbukkit.jar in a screen. Just look up "Running a minecraft server on <your Linux flavor here>".

I'm really sorry, but that still is not that clear enough for me, I don't have experience with that stuff. Only with YAML.

Go in to your server control panel on the site that hosts your Minecraft server.
Then, open up your Minecraft server folder (the folder that has your craftbukkit.jar) and copy everything from your Minecraft server folder to your new Minecraft server's folder on your host page's control panel.

It should work with MultiCraft and GGServers as far as I know.

If not, you might want to consider watching this YouTube video:

There's no FTP account found in Multicraft, FileZilla finds the server but then disconnects..

If there is no FTP then your host is ripping you off. I doubt that they would restrict FTP from you. Create a ticket with them and ask how to connect to your FTP server.

ask them for the info needed to connect using FileZilla
but to be honest, should have played around with making a server on your computer first so you could watch tutorials and learn how to do all this before paying for a host =)

once your in your FTP, You'll see where your bukkit's .jar file is, there will be World files, like world_the_end, etc, the Plugins folder is the one you can place ALL your server's plugin files, just make sure your server is off when adding plugin .jar's to your server's plugin folder.

You'll figure out which plugins have a /reload command for in-game to use as OP =) those don't require a restart when you edit the file in FTP, as long as the plugin has generated a folder in Plugins.

I'm using free trial dirt hosting, and there is a FTP section, but it says no users found.

That is probably why. You are using a trial hosting. When you buy a server they normally give you all of your info.

Does anyone recommend a good, cheap server hosting which they use?

Yes, do you know any good hosts that I can use then? I'm starting small (probably 3/4 players) then I will upgrade. Thanks!

    Done. Thanks for your help!
