Now that's an incredible overstatement. It is perfectly functional and looks fine. It consumes incredible amounts of memory, sure, but it hasn't really been a problem despite that.

Such a huge focus on such tiny details.. it's remarkable. It works, it runs, it's consistent, and it does the job I ask it to do. What more could I ask for?

One that works better? Which exists? This is a pointless argument, so I'm going to go do something useful.

Garris0n What is a good one anyway, as far as I can tell you can just use notepad to write the stuff in and use an external compiler to build it?

You can, but the general consensus is that IntelliJ IDEA is the best Java IDE available. I personally find it far better than Eclipse, but those are the only two I've used so I can't speak for any others. I could never go back to Eclipse though. In IntelliJ the suggestions are actually "thought out" by the program instead of "whatever fits" like Eclipse. If you're using one a lot, IntelliJ will realize that it should suggest that first, etc. It really speeds up development. It's also just a lot quicker in general for me and less buggy. Pretty much everything's quicker to do except for exporting plugins. That takes a bit more time to set up per-plugin, but once you set up the build artifact it's the same. Definitely worth that one thing IMO. Again, I've only ever used Eclipse and IntelliJ, but I think out of those two IntelliJ is both objectively better and better in my opinion.

Garris0n Thanks, I'm in no position to change over but I'll have a look. eclipse is working fine anyway :D

It took me an entire weekend to get it to work and another week or so to get used to it, but it was more than worth it for the improvement.

Edit: Actually, to eventually find all the features I missed, get it to work, slowly remap all the keys to do what I wanted, etc...more like a month. Still worth it.
