Since Minecraft 1.7.2 was released on October 25th we've been putting in a ridiculous amount of work non-stop towards a CraftBukkit for Minecraft 1.7.2 and I am happy to finally be able to announce that we now have development builds available. We strongly suggest that you only use this build if you would like to help us get a Beta build out sooner and are experienced with using unsupported development builds.

WARNING: Minecraft 1.7.2 is an update that requires clients to update before being able to connect.

    What is a Development Build?
A Development build is provided AS IS and COMPLETELY UNSUPPORTED. You should only be running these builds if you are completely aware of how to properly make use of them. Support requests of ANY KIND will be removed without warning. If you have to ask where or how to get the development build, you should NOT be running it and posts of that nature will be deleted.

Will plugins break with this build?
Minecraft 1.7 is one of the most involved updates to date, with Mojang having touched a reported ~220k+ lines of code. As a result, a significant amount of the code base has shifted making it difficult to ensure any stability with regards to our API. That being said, it is difficult to determine if plugins will be breaking with our 1.7.2 update and the state of the API in our earlier development builds should NOT be relied upon in any way.

    Known Issues:
    • None

    Please report bugs on leaky.bukkit.org!

Additionally, and not specifically addressed to you, but the team is aware that the new commands are not added yet. Again, as the announcement says, these builds are development builds. Due to the way Bukkit works, commands have to be implemented in a way that is compatible with it -- this is done after the update is done so that you guys get a build faster. Be patient. It will come.

EvilSeph I have a small question relating to the 'losing structures' issue a while back.
I didn't keep myself up-to-date with this whole issue, so I'm unsure about something.

I never ran the structuresaver plugin which was recommended to do. So my question is, can I simply update from Craftbukkit 1.6.4 to 1.7.2 without having to worry about losing structures? Or is there another method I need to use to allow structures to save?

I see no errors in the console, there are some broken plugins, but the main ones remain working without errors. Although, the broken plugins its more a mater of the makers of those plugins have to update there coding to 1.7.2... sooOOOoo.. um yea.. good job :D Hooah !

    Thank you Bukkit-Team :).

I've been running the current server version for some hours now and almost everything is working as it should, even older plugins. No problems with Essentials, Globalshop, Multiverse, Dynmap and more that I've witnessed yet.

The only thing I've found which is not working are buttons/pressure plates. As I'm no programmer and not familiar with Java that much all I can do is give you the heads up on this ^^.

    Greetings,
    your nutty friend

    Nice, Awesome work!

I've got a Question, is there the possibility, that the Vanilla Commants are deleted?
f.e., Setblock and the vanilla Summon Commant (to summon mobs)?
I hope you can fix this Problem :)

Hey, just wanted to let you know that the server-icon field in server.properties doesn't seem to exist yet. Is there a better place to report bugs?

There is no such thing (at all in Minecraft), instead you just put a 64x64 PNG image named server-icon.png in your server directory.

Oh, cause I could have sworn that I had to use an imgur link when I was testing the 1.7 snapshots. Thanks for that! Also I've noticed that typing an &<letter> before the MOTD doesnt color it anymore like it did in previous versions.

If you have /gamerule doDaylightCycle set to false and break a block it will produce an error, I don't have a leaky.whatever account so I just post this here and hope someone can open an issue.

I tested this using Windows 7:
No messages show up on console.
You cant enter a command through console.
You cant stop the server through console, unless you use /stop.
    ---
I havent tested this on my paid server hosting yet, (linux, + Multicraft) because im making sure everything is compatible first, before switching, but i just wanted to point out a few things.

Not exactly sure if this is a good place to report bugs, but Wooden Doors and Iron doors will not respond to a redstone signal.
